    Just a bevy of things came together. There is still a solid mix of tiny flakes and freezing drizzle falling now at 27. I think the hills may have helped provide a bit of lift as well . Traffic thru Town is a disaster with Tr highway closed. Happens everytime they shut 84 here. Weekends make it worse with all the travelers. All out of state plates .. learning about good old hick town Tolland . It is gridlock right now down 74

    The Blue could certainly be an issue lol. I think all your points are correct and throw in there was zero mention of freezing rain in any local, media , or NWS outlet last night that no one had any idea. Even me the weenie had no idea until I stepped outside to run . This was a recipe for disaster .

    It was just about the iciest I have ever seen it around here in terms of roads . A winter with all rain and no residual road salt will do that. FB just littered with these posts this morning .

    That’s the Tolland triangle area. Exit 67-69. It’s well known .Accidents on very single week no matter time of year. Many are serious and deadly . The area there is cursed. Throw some ice in , forget about it

    Important: numerous accidents on I 84 E before exit 68. Tractor trailer down imbankment, car on roof. Car with front end smashed in middle lane. Just drove by going west.

    I was not expecting ice when I went outside . There’s a mix freezing drizzle and snow . My first few steps I’m lucky I didn’t go down

    iIt is an absolute skating rink with freezing drizzle . I had to cut my run at 4 miles. Could not even get down the hill .

    All anyone here has had is rain . There’s a lot of hopes for a snowy 2nd half . Im not on that train based on what looks like more - PNA. Maybe things break for the better . I’m fully in the mindset of a top 5 least snowy winter .

    The kid has dug his own grave.lives on the water .. expects a lot of snow , and doesn’t understand his Climo .He’s single handedly made himself the most hated poster in the region with his whining and complaining.. then hopes that people feel badly for him when he can’t ski next weekend due to no snow . And to top it off.. thinks he’s getting accumulating snow all weekend
