  1. Huge fire in Great Barrington . Very smoky in parts of CT
  2. I’ll be honest. It’s a big concern and I am worried
  3. Wow man that is wild. We get long term droughts which this will probably turn into, but the severity of this flash drought which came out of nowhere is just not something this part of the country sees.
  4. It’s literally been a 3 month spell like you’d see in the west . Not something I’d ever expect or thought we’d see. Especially coming off such a wet early to mid summer. In a humid climate. It usually finds a way to rain. But SNE just turned into La Jolla almost overnight
  5. I remember last winter it looked good too. Hopefully this is different
  6. In all my years .. never have seen anything quite like this. The worry is it continues thru the winter in a general sense. If you analog the years and the ensuing winters.. they don’t end well for snow
  7. I’m not buying in on any one model. It is going to rain . We’ll see how much . I know which way we lean though ! https://x.com/trumpwarroom/status/1858267401533714552?s=46&t=dhcbvkjmRcyBVQtDxJ3lRg
  8. Whoa!! That is Solid. 1.74 here since Aug 20 Wxwatcher in East Hartford has .90 in that same timeframe
  9. Enjoy the snow and rain . And be glad you live in a drought proof area
  10. If CT gets . 50 that will be a win considering most of us are under 1.75” total since Aug 20. Until it measures in your gauge it hasn’t happened
  11. Hoe much rain have you had in that span? Or since Aug 20?
  12. ULL continues the trend north so we say goodbye to first flake chances. Boredom continues
  13. Always . These days wiping it down daily to get the dust off
  14. Yeah but so far so good. And I watered until Helloween . Then I stopped
  15. Yeah very little doubt it rains Thursday. My gut just says the soaking rain say .75 higher are up north . These almost always trend north . Hopefully my gut is very wrong
