  1. I prefer cloudy days in winter. Nothing worse than sun slowly melting snow
  2. I’ve watched that correlation for many many ( Trump) years.. it’s tried and true. And they have been frigid over the last 7-10 days . So you can pretty forecast AN thru about Feb 10. If they warm .. and they’re supposed to .. we may do some winter Feb 15 on
  3. Yeah. Another great example there. If you see Alaskans naked and snowy and -50 everyday with record snow ( like this entire winter) you are not going to do well in E North America. There is a direct correlation.
  4. You are incorrect, I avg 60” a year here. If I get 0 in Nov/ Dec.. how many years am I going to get 60” in Jan and Feb.. I’ll even include Morch .. very few.
  5. This is normal occurrence right? I mean wtf https://x.com/ryanhanrahan/status/1752103523720827346?s=46&t=dhcbvkjmRcyBVQtDxJ3lRg
  6. They’ve had some very mild and not much snow winters while we got crushed. It’s rare that both regions share deep winter . When you see that kind of cold up there, you don’t plan on too much deep winter in the East
  7. This was a winter for Alaska . They have crushed it since late October. Almost nonstop. When they get winter .. the northeast typically doesn’t . It’s been unrelenting up there
  8. Some signs of squalls or maybe a Winginxsy event Friday with the Arctic front.
  9. I know it looks innocuous on radar but right now it’s increased again to moderate . It only lasts a few minutes and then lightens . I’m not sure I’ve seen something here like this before.
  10. Somewhere , someone’s nape started burning https://x.com/ericfisher/status/1752021433994109319?s=46&t=dhcbvkjmRcyBVQtDxJ3lRg
  11. Park the sleds in the garage and spray em with derust agents?
  12. Yup . I don’t remember the last one we had that was cold and snowy from let’s say Dec 20- early Jan. That’s sad
  13. Unfortunately it seems like it’s always going to happen moving forward.
  14. Well you and I agree. Look at all the posts after mine that don’t care about December snow lol. Point remains.A snowy December is needed for a great winter
  15. That’s the weeniest band I’ve ever seen . It’s literally been almost non stop snow today. At times it gets solid moderate. Cold day too 30.2 considering how mild it’s been . Looks like winter on the landscape at least .
  16. I think we are just talking about different things . I’m mainly referring to the talk that in December we don’t normally get much snow. And then the next sentence says something like” Jan and Feb are our Climo friendly time of year to get snow.. so I’m fine with punting December”.. It’s that line of thinking that is like nails on a chalkboard. No Timmy it doesn’t work like that lol .. Not directing that you .. just those types of posts.
  17. I’ve had 15.75” this winter . All of that in Jan. Imagine if we had even had a couple lighter events in Nov/ Dec. Makes a huge difference when evaluating
  18. We had to rely upon Jan and Feb to make up for Dec loss. Guess what .. it failed . You need snow in Nov and Dec
  19. No we haven’t. Sure you can get 2 months that are snowy. I mean winter is already short enough. You can’t just think you’ll make it up. It doesn’t work that way
