  1. Maybe not in true sense.. But if you loop the radar from that storm.. It clearly shows the snow enhancing as that air hits the higher elevations of Eastern and then North eastern CT. Even over NW Ri a bit
  2. That firehose will always be in my top 3 faves. I remember worrying the whole time that the horrific dry slot over RI would make it here.. But instead we had some up slope component and kept pounding snow . I think it got very close to Central Windham county, but then filled back in relatively quickly
  3. Was sleet all day until late afternoon/early eve when it mixed and finally went to snow. Think we ended up with 7-8
  4. Somers has very high points on the Tolland/Ellington line. In fact Soapstone Mountain which is less than 10 minutes from me is near 1,000k. It's crazy though..how fast you lose elevation as you go down into the center of Somers twds Enfield That wxradio Herb/David had on in the background used to get signals from a transmitter on top of Soapstone. there's some great running/hiking trails there and a fire tower at the top with great views
  5. Not at all Stephen..I knew it wasn't Herb..but couldn't recall if it was John, Jack, or Dave
  6. Great video John.. Brings back good memories. Which one is you? In the bomber Celtics jacket or the Russian hat?
  7. Have we ever seen something like that before?
  8. That radar is a thing of beauty. One of my all time favorite images
  9. I thought his wife was going to say there was a house full of women with boobs flopping around
  10. Wow 6th grade. As sick as your memory is I bet you could even remember what you were wearing that day and the who was sitting in front of you and how bad their back acne was. I was a year out of high school and in college..but was home for that weekend. I purposely came home for the storm lol
  11. I didn't know Ray got that much from that. Ryan I guess would have lost it.
  12. I recall the details of that storm like it was yesterday. That was probably the best valley screwjob in SNE history. It was amazing what every foot of elevation made in that storm. The next time one of those happens Ray would absolutley lose it
  13. You had some great winds though. Didn't they gust to or over cane force? At least it wasn't a total shutout. That is still one of my top 3 favorte SNE snowstorms.
  14. Dec 1992 is the storm of infamy . ORH got crushed with 36 inches. 16-22 in NE Ct.power out for days with tree damage to naked trees. with heavy rains and high wind for the coast of SNE. We need another one of those. The thing was crawling
  15. LOL..I remember that like it was yesterday. I had just driven home from my old job in Bristol and thought it might be snow in the hills...It wasn't.....
  16. It was an Ef0..little to no damage lol

  17. What's with the War and Peace post? Did Alex get ahold of your laptop?
