  1. I think many low spots hit 70 or more. Tip will be sunburned
  2. Folks passing thru from NY to BOS must be like wtf. 0 in Manchester to 1” in Vernon, hit the hill on 84 and it looks like Stowe . And that 0.6 in Somers must be in the W part . There’s big elevation in E Somers that borders Tolland. Soapstone Mtn is at 1k where the tower is CONNECTICUT ...Tolland County... 3. That’s just it. Around here we don’t typically get such all or nothing events. If someone jacks , surrounding areas still get snow. This was a 30-40 mile north south band with nothing to the west and minor stuff east of it. I bet this won’t happen again for 20 + years
  4. Sevi will be back early May and Hicks and Betances mid Napril. Should be fine. Their schedule the first month and half is so easy
  5. This is crazy. The band was overhead Glastonbury and was dumped 10-15 miles away . Fascinating case study to this weenie anyway
  6. That’s interesting. Question.. is that where the elevation gain starts?
  7. Well by hill folk I mean not valley lol. Did IJD pull 6”? If so , wow
  8. Poor Tip. He spent a week tracking this thing and writing diatribes and ended up with very little and so he’s taking it out on the kind Hill folks. He can’t separate emotion from weather.
  9. And the thing is, if there was no wind , this event wouldn’t really have happened. That upslope band formed right at the base of the valley/ hills and then was deposited downwind in the hills. So it was the very rare occurrence here of a true upslope event aided by the trowal
  10. Look at that radar.. those yellows were aimed directly at them to my south . S Tolland had 8.5
  11. It formed right at the base of the valley / hills and the wind drove it right up into the hills. Really cool stuff there
  12. That was getting deposited right in our BY. That’s a good 8-12 miles west as the crow flies. Fascinating to me
  13. How many miles from you is that area where you started seeing snow Otg? It was getting blown into the hills to the east
  14. +9.0” 2 yesterday and 7 last night 51.2” YTD
  15. Winds were WNW so maybe it was the snow over Springfield?
  16. The second I saw that radar you posted last night , I knew that was how we ended up getting the heavy amounts
  17. 7” Snow Monster is stuck on 84.. shocker.. there’s an accident between exits 67-68. TOL triangle strikes it’s daily accident
  18. You just made tv. Darren showed these 2 pictures on air. Congrats!
