  1. A damn fine early summer week for sure. 4 nice days and one with light rain. DNG FTL
  2. Looks great . Grab a beer and cheap up in outdoor shower!
  3. Amidst all the whining about cold awful spring.. a fact
  4. Yeah I think that’s the main issue, but it does get some , and it’s only in the last year that this has happened
  5. I didn’t mean to come across like that. I know very little about a lot . I’ve always had areas of moss and the grass has always managed to grow and sort of win out in the grand scheme of things. But the last year of wetness and maybe just not enough sunlight has left a huge area of my side lawn full of moss and the nice grass that had been there has all but vanished. It’s a bit of a slope so it does drain. I think erosion also may be washing some of the soil away and since it’s under Oaks, it just is finally succumbing. It’s not a super thick canopy. Some sunlight does get thru. It really bothers me. I guess I’ll wait until September, but it’ll bother me all summer.
  6. As bad as he was the last 3 winters.. safe to say he’s fraudulent. Dude is the laughing stock of wx industry. There’s folks questioning if he’s even degreed.
  7. Sounds like maybe some type of Landphoon?
  8. Yeah no thanks . We like solid IPA’s and doubles for 6-8 bucks
  9. Just very light rain on N fringes here. Heading up to Lancaster, Ma for soccer. Looks like not a drop there as it’s all shunting south
  10. The breaks of sun were mainly late morning -early afternoon . But it was muggy so the 60’s felt nice
  11. Did you notice how everything was leafed out in the valley yesterday?
  12. I’ve seen it so localized in town that one strip of 1-2 houses are bare and next 2 still some leaves . Even cases where one or 2 oaks in a yard bare, but other oaks in same yard not hit hard. Parts of town wiped out last 2 years while others minimal damage. Gotta be due to the wind distribution and where it blows them. I find it fascinating
  13. Yup. Those wild 1-3” meso models posted never had a chance . Just a general .25 or so
  14. Yeah who knows. Scoots made a good point the other day when he said we’re at time of year when you start tossing big coastal qpf events to convective feedback. As they model high amounts too far north when its generally closer to the front and convection
  15. Looks fairy meh unless you’re along the water
  16. You should see a pretty substantial outbreak up there this spring based on the maps of the ground studies they did and ones you had last year
  17. Just for the creepy old man stalker 1717 who has most posts about me .. found another nest today above the garage door. We await your next post about me
  18. It seems weird me asking advice. But the wet last year or so has transformed my shady area of lawn under Oak canopy into a moss playground. I have limed it so ph is fine. It’s just wet and not much sun. Should I get the moss killer and spread it do it turns black and rake it all out.? There’s a lot of it. And that would mean a core aeration and reseed of the area. Or should I just hit it with the moss killer fert and hope that works?
