  1. What a flash drought these last 3 months have been . If it’s a relatively dry winter like a lot are thinking.. going into next spring and summer will be bad news.
  2. Check around . You’ll see it if you took off the snow goggles for 2 minutes
  3. It’s not going to do much of anything Friday night. Sun comes out for part of the day at least
  4. Some of the Hi res is now well under an inch for much of the region . May it not be correct .
  5. Models backed off on rain amounts especially in SNE. Now around .60 or so hi res. Better than nothing but had a feeling that would happen. And they have some sun on Friday while it snows to our west
  6. NW NJ up thru SE NY into NW CT are in for a Sapling snapping 6-12+ while SNE dry slots. We will be very envious end of week .
  7. Huge fire in Great Barrington . Very smoky in parts of CT
  8. I’ll be honest. It’s a big concern and I am worried
  9. Wow man that is wild. We get long term droughts which this will probably turn into, but the severity of this flash drought which came out of nowhere is just not something this part of the country sees.
  10. It’s literally been a 3 month spell like you’d see in the west . Not something I’d ever expect or thought we’d see. Especially coming off such a wet early to mid summer. In a humid climate. It usually finds a way to rain. But SNE just turned into La Jolla almost overnight
  11. I remember last winter it looked good too. Hopefully this is different
  12. In all my years .. never have seen anything quite like this. The worry is it continues thru the winter in a general sense. If you analog the years and the ensuing winters.. they don’t end well for snow
  13. I’m not buying in on any one model. It is going to rain . We’ll see how much . I know which way we lean though ! https://x.com/trumpwarroom/status/1858267401533714552?s=46&t=dhcbvkjmRcyBVQtDxJ3lRg
  14. Whoa!! That is Solid. 1.74 here since Aug 20 Wxwatcher in East Hartford has .90 in that same timeframe
  15. Enjoy the snow and rain . And be glad you live in a drought proof area
  16. If CT gets . 50 that will be a win considering most of us are under 1.75” total since Aug 20. Until it measures in your gauge it hasn’t happened
  17. Hoe much rain have you had in that span? Or since Aug 20?
  18. ULL continues the trend north so we say goodbye to first flake chances. Boredom continues
