  1. I mowed every week. Including today just to pick up leaves that have prematurely fallen. I took that picture after I had mowed today
  2. I meant a red flag warning/ fire danger like they issued. Seems almost impossible except this year with the severity of the drought
  3. Can you remember that in mid September ever? With full foliage right out of summer? Crazy
  4. Next up .. Forest Fires ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER POTENTIAL FOR MONDAY... The combination of gusty northwest winds, full sunshine and drying conditions on Monday will lead to elevated fire weather potential across Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Northwest winds will gust between 25 and 35 mph on Monday, with lowest relative humidities around 35 percent. Open burning is strongly discouraged on Monday. This statement is issued in collaboration with Massachusetts DCR, Connecticut DEEP Division of Forestry, and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.
  5. Not looking forward to this winter . I fear Dec might be ok and then just mild Nd dry like last Feb
  6. I just don’t need someone telling me what happened to my lawn who doesn’t do anything to take care of his other than mow occasionally .
  7. I burned nothing. This is the first time in 30 plus years of lawn care this has happened to any of my lawns. It’s called a severe drought . It’s what happens to well maintained lawns while yards where folks do nothing are infested with crab grass , clover, chickweed , dog doo etc
  8. As bad as this looks.. I’d prefer this over a yard full of weeds
  9. Ain’t no dissecting Stein. He means Bidness this time. Fear the Stein . leaves just withering and dying
  10. Tough to support folks that disrespect their country. To each their own of course . Windy and humid afternoon
  11. This whole year has been severely dry
  12. Dilfs to the left of you , dilfs to the right ?
  13. Stein taking the ball and running away with it
  14. I complain about that at night in summer. I don’t want it chilly enough in summer to have to worry about wearing long sleeves. If it’s in the50’s with sun or warmer shorts are fine into Nov. It’s not like some cold pattern is settling in. It’s mainly due to dry air masses and strong cooling at night. Warm , sunny days with temps 65-75 and cool nights . That’s not jeans
  15. That’s nuts. Shorts go well into November with a jacket or pullover you’re fine
  16. He’s slowly changing too. Once he hits 40 , he’ll be there in full
  17. Folks will feel wet will feel a bit muggy as dewpoints climb into the upper 50s and low 60s by the end of the day. Southerly flow aloft will advect 925 hPa temperature of 13-16 degrees Celsius - so expecting highs to top out in
  18. There probably won’t be much rain. Just a lot of light qpf events or drizzle with the warm front and then dry fropas
