I'm sure people remember the heat in 1999. 6 days in July over 100, beating the 5 from 1966 for July. For the June through August summer season it tied 1966 with 6 days. For days over 90, 1999 was tied with 1988 in 4th place with 39 days. 3rd place was 1944 with 41 and 2nd place was 1943 with 42. The average from 1888 to 2023 is 17. There are 92 days in the season so on average we eclipse 90 on 18.4%. in 1999 and 1988 that rate was 42.4%. In 1943, the second highest it was 45.7%. The point of this is to highlight just how absurd the 57 days above 90 that occurred in 1966. 62% of the days. 26 days were above 95 beating 22 days in 1999. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
