  1. Thanks for this Ray--always great to see you presenting this, not just because of the thinking that goes into it but also for getting us excited that yes--winter is coming. From that crystal ball, I should be making some plans to be up at Pit2.
  2. I might be able to......not yet sure if I have anything else going on
  3. Hope so. Of course I was hoping I’d tackle it before football.
  4. Sun actually breaking through here. I put the odds at very low that things will drying out enough for blowing the leaves though
  5. I don't think this is the forum to be posting about choking chickens, Scott.
  6. Nearby station reports ranging from about 1.75" to 2.2"
  7. Somewhere between 1.1 and 1.25 based on neighboring stations here.
  8. Echo the dark. Good downpour to go along with it.
  9. My daughter's dorm in Marion (along with 5 other campus buildings) were still without power as of 5:00pm last night.. Fortunately they have generators.
  10. Sounds like a nearby transformer just blew. Thankfully not impacting my power.
  11. Whole bunch of meh for most. Congrats Eastern folks. Nice breeze this morning.
  12. Looks like it'll be a fun time in Marion. My wife or I will be driving my daughter back to school today so perhaps will see it in person.
  13. Not expecting any wind here—hopefully the rain amounts here will merit the time I’ve been in this thread.
  14. Experienced first frost down the hill this morning. Nada toward the top at the Pit.
  15. Don't get me wrong.....there's value in knowing the mean, but to view that as the sole arbiter of 'normal' would be problematic. If you did, very few days would be "normal". The vast majority would be either above or below.
  16. How high up is the top of the mixed layer? Leaf-filled storm drains ftl. Glad I had my sump-pump replaced.
