  1. I wish I would have had more sun. Alas, my 'channel' approach to clearing the drive didn't completely clear it. Though it will defintely be less work than having done it earlier.
  2. Back into clouds and rain. Probably not as effective at melting as the sun, but it could be worse. 41*
  3. Instead of shoveling the whole steep driveway, I took the approach of digging a series of canals to allow melting to do the work for me on the parts I didn't shovel At least that's my plan.
  4. Sun's breaking through here--I'm going to see what type of progress it can make before shoveling.
  5. Yeah......we'll be keeping our cover for sure.
  6. I was really expecting the temp to be moving north from where it is. I've been hovering 38-40 for a few hours. I suspect at some point I'll bounce toward the mid-40's, but perhaps not.
  7. I'm guessing I'm going to wind up with a really ugly net-gain. I almost wish it would all get washed away and could start anew in December.
  8. Walking the dog was hell. 1) misjudged the 'lull' depicted on the radar. Got soaked 2) driveway 3" of slush 3) despite the road being plowed and streams running down the hill, it was exceptioanlly icy under the water. I stood still and my husky-mix was acting like a husky just pulling me along. Temp bouncing between 38-40.
  9. They're spaced perfectly to interfere with each other, letting the winter continue steady-as-she-goes.
  10. Send them this way.....I've been holding off on my dog's morning walk.
  11. Temp up to 41* with a smidge of fog. Let's see if it can clear the driveway.
  12. This will do wonders for your grass come lawn-thread time! Back down to 39*.
  13. How's your temp doing? PWM checking in at 36*
  14. Eye-balling things more closely, I think I might have wound up with at least 4". I think I'll likely have to clear my drive (pretty steep hill) and definitely from what the plow's left at the end. 39*
  15. I've been wondering the same thing. I suspect there will be reason to clear it.......but not sure if we'll have NEED to do so. Important difference. Up to 39* here.
  16. Looks like PWM had no more than an hour of snow, RKD may have started as snow, but quickly went to rain. IWI at 35*, AUG at 19* lol
  17. Got up just in time to still see some flakes mixed in. Appears to be all rain now. 32", looks like 3" prior to the changeover.
  18. Congrats, Pete and Mitch. Still snowing in northern Maine at this point.
