  1. A Tale of Two Pits It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of winter, it was the age of meh, it was the epoch of belief in models, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of dreams, it was the season of nightmares, it was the winter of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had D-7 storms before us, we had nothing D-2 before us, we were all going direct to bliss, we were all going direct to the Tobin,-in short, the period was so far the like present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
  2. So......what are you going to do differently if you're positive than if you're negative? It's not like you're going to treat it any differntly. Grab some dayquill and move on.
  3. The absolute worst. You enjoying your first 80's and I'm socked in the fog at 46*.
  4. The sea breeze will temper my warmth.
  5. Kevin dropping down some pre-emergent next weekend.
  6. And just like that, flipped to some moderate fatties. If you can't frdz, let it snow.
  7. Just some fzdz at this point--will be short-lived as temp up to 31*.
  8. It was not decent in NNE--it sucked wire-to-wire.
  9. If we can't get true winter to set in by mid-January, I'd almost rather it just move to spring instead of a truncated winter (note the 'almost').
  10. Back into some moderate snow, hopefully will finagle a little more. 28*
  11. The new 2 on top of the existing 4 does make it look wintry, even if it is a piss-poor pack.
  12. I can' speak to intensity as I don't have any lights to watch it fall, but looks like at least an inch.
  13. I pray that it's warranted. Edit: Bleh. ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM EST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze expected.
  14. I wish Westborough could muster what ORH gets. It doesn't. Just outside of 495 and just north of the Pike doesn't suck though.
  15. Yeah--it was difficult finding traces while walking the dog this morning.
  16. The average here is about 75" so a little more than Westborough. While I'll flirt with the rain/snow line, in some instances, that usually sets up further down the peninsula. Think of Rt 1 in Maine as the Rt 2 in Mass. Along and north of RT 1 will tend to be on the 'right' side of the boundary. I remember when I lived up here and Blue Spruce would be posting (wasn't he in Belfast?). Many events he'd be tainting while I'd be still snowing.
