  1. 14” at Pit 2. Where’d all my snow go???? Oh, there it is….
  2. Yup---we'll get a new look each run. Some will be a cold rain and some will be a cool rain.
  3. Correct. Unless they occur during night, the increased solar radiation that keeps Tip's car toasty works against accretion.
  4. Did you see the EPS that PF posted? I'm not sure you could classify those as a snower.
  5. I just notice the top of my shovel handle sticking out of the snow in the 'front of house' picture. Good Lord.

  7. It's nice to be back in the mostly calm realm of a monthly pattern thread. Regardless of who got what yesterday, it's a pretty frenetic pace in the final days of a storm thread and in an obs thread.
  8. The band that formed last evening was a big bonus for getting totals here to respectable levels. (relatively respectable that is!!) Looks liek I wound up with 17-18. Second clearn-up begins in an hour.
  9. Same here. I’m guessing we might picked up 4-5. Wasn’t expecting that. Not sure what’s left in the tank.
  10. What is that weird looking return going down toward the canal? Meanwhile, ORH verified a blizzard. As of 530 PM on Saturday, January 29, some snow was still occurring across the region, so we will issue a more complete report, listing durations of blizzard conditions, early next week. However, in the meantime, we can confirm that the following locations did meet blizzard criteria today... In Rhode Island... Providence (KPVD) Westerly (KWST) Newport (KUUU) Block Island (KBID) In Massachusetts... Boston (KBOS) Worcester (KORH) Beverly (KBVY) Hyannis (KHYA) Marshfield (KGHG) Martha`s Vineyard (KMVY) Stations at Chatham (KCQX), Falmouth (KFMH), Provincetown (KPVC), and Smithfield (KSFZ) were unable to be determined because they stopped reporting wind, visibility, or all data.
  11. Agree--just walked the dog and there was 3/4 of an inch on the driveway when I got back Keep it going.
  12. Truth told--I prefer a snow without the wind. Just let it pile up. And in the spirit of not piling up, my wife reports there's nothing to measure at Pit2 and no snow at all on the cars. Wind's still howling up there.
  13. Just got in from clearing drive....cold as a witch's tit out there.
  14. From my wife at Pit2. Wind is keeping the deck clear and lawn only whitened. Her car is spotless. Lol i suspect people up tor road aren’t saying that.
  15. I've held off on the snowblower. I'm not sure how deep it can clear, but I'm counting on the wind clearing some of it. Of course, it might just be drifting it deeper.
  16. Visibility down to a couple hundred feet right now. 17* here, just noticed it's only 9* at Pit2. The hounds of winter.
