  1. Yeah--there's still plenty of time for it to run over Detroit.
  2. Per the nearby PWS, we managed a -1 last night, both before and after midnight. So I guess we bootlegged back-to-back subzero's.
  3. Down to 4 here in Westborough. -1.3 at Pit2.
  4. Yeah--they referenced it as lifting a few hours before go-time. Or something like that.
  5. Even on the coast at Pit2 it's 3. And here in Westborough it's already down to 5.
  6. So for all the ICON dispersions: I'm watching a WWII documentary on D-Day. Not surprisingly, Rommel was going to be commanding the bulk of the Panzer divisions. Here's where it gets funny. Quoting the documentary here: "Rommel considered the first 24-48 hours would be crucial for this battle. And where was he? He was in Germany celebrating his wife's birthday. He had believed too much in the German weather forecasts which had said on the 6th of June it would be poor weather--but then the weather shifts...."
  7. Who's said it's going to be rain? We don't know where this things going to go at this point. I'm just keeping my options open.
  8. Better than most. Something to watch in any case--and perhaps to make travel plans to Maine.
  9. Speaking of night......the added 20 minutes to sunset is a bittersweet observation. Soon Tip will be posting about his warm car. On the other hand, it's no longer completely dark when I take the dog for her 5:00pm walk (close to it still, but clearly not).
  10. I'd classify these as "arctic hounds howling in the distance". Squalls notwithstanding, single digits is not too traumatic. As far as the rest of your post, totally agree.
  11. I might live in a town of Karens, but at least they didn't call a 'cold day'. Bottomed out a 7 here. Scored a -1 at Pit2.
  12. Just noticed I picked up a half inch or so last night. Every little bit helps.
  13. I’m giving Friday two more runs to show real promise. Then on to Monday.
  14. 15* in Boston. So wise to have closed the schools.
  15. Checking in and seeing MANY pages of new posts, I was excited that there must have been blockbusters showing on the 12z runs. zzzzzzzzzz
  16. Most of the stuff that was still on my driveway melted and my sidewalk is in much better shape. Everything else looking wintry. I call that a win.
  17. Windy, gusting near 30, still blowing snow off the trees. 33* rn-
  18. Congrats to those who will ice. Total meh coming in here. Already up to 32* with no precip yet.
  19. Perhaps, but I'd drive to Camden rather than Brattleboro.
  20. It's tough to lose it if you're getting 15". But if they're getting 40" 25 miles away--I would. Dive into the Kennebec.
  21. It's never too soon to start a thread.
  22. I was down in Marion (south coast) this morning. The pastier snow they had looked utterly fantastic. Prettiest town in the world--or at least the state.
