  1. Off topic..... I got a new computer and have lost all my book marks. Can you all post your favorite sites so I can bookmark them again? TIA! EDIT: pornhub is not among them.
  2. Well, the sump pumps had the summer off so they're rested.
  3. Absolutely. This is on the heels of "the heavy rain being from coastal CT to NYC and South" to "wagon's north". It's the same thing as the "these always shift west (or East, North, South)". Until they don't.
  4. Raining lightly here in w'boro. Pretty funny that we're reporting these observations as if it were a snow event
  5. It will be somehwat disappointing to miss out on some heavy rains--given how boring the weather's been this summer. Just the same I'll be content with enough to keep the lawn feeling good.
  6. Most of my lawn has come through the worst of the drought fine. With the recent rains you'd never know it's been dry. There are a few patches that got really burned. Any thoughts on these areas? Would you rake them out and reseed as if it were a spring clean-up? Thanks!
  7. Picked up about .3 overnight. The green-up continues. Happy last day of met summer. Good riddance.
  8. Seasons in seasons. COC here at Pit 2. 71/59, fresh breeze and white caps. We win.
  9. It's amazing how resilient grass is. A couple doses of rain in the past week and everyone's brown is leaning toward green already.
  10. In West Hartford? My daughter is at Bryn Mawr.
  11. Congrats--where'd she go? I Hope it went well. My daughter had gone away for high school so this drop-off wasn't too since we were all familiar with that. Though having her 5 hours away now compared to an hour during high school is a bit of a challenge. The fact that she hasn't texted my wife--and then with 1-word updates--is a sure sign of her settling in okay.
  12. Dropped the youngest off at college. Empty nest time.
  13. LOL--do you need a sherpa to get you home? Congrats on your arid conditions.
  14. regardless of how much I get/don/t get i'm enjoying the sound of the rain in the trees.
  15. I'm sure there's plenty in the mix......I'll deal with it as I encounter it. Stihl at the ready
  16. Glad I mowed earlier in the week so I could take advantage of this weekend's COC to stack my wood for the winter.
  17. Just practicing for winter Jerry.
