    I'm 8 miles east of Brunswick in the middle of the GYX radar hole, ftw. By the way--I think until perhaps just now, that has been heavy, wet snow. Temp was hovering right around freezing through the duration until about an hour ago. Cooler air filtering in now.

    Just got up. Eyeballing about 8" with SN++ at the moment. Double digits look doable, maybe even a foot based on what last night's models were showing for the morning hours. First, coffee.

    Just got in from walking the dog. Somewhere between 2-3" of man snow. No fluff yet. I suspect that'll change once the cooler air works in. In either case, there will be a lot of snow-encased trees in the morning. Hope to wake up to SN+ at 4:30. Enjoy the snow all.

    Looks like they heavy band that Jeff's been enjoying is on my doorstep.....maybe 5 miles to my west. Making steady progress.

    It really is. Even with that, I ended up doing pretty well, so I won't complain. About an inch so far.

    I think the 22z HRRR is the last run that would encompass essentially the entire event in Maine. I'm about 5-10 miles outside the jackpot area. Temp tickling down very slowly. 30.4*

    From the updated AFD: The latest WPC Snowband Probability Tracker indicates that snowfall rates will begin to increase to between 1-2"/hr by around 11 pm across southwestern ME and these rates will persist through around 8 am Wednesday.

    Looks similar to here. Snowing good--not great flakes, but they're getting the job done. I had cooked on the grill half an hour ago, and already closed grill cover is covered again. Not bad considering how hot it must have been.

    GFS has us rocking from about midnight - 7:00am.

    Things whitened up quickly.....had a burst of moderate snow with great flakes. Short-lived and now down to steady inefficient ones. At least we dipped below freezing. 31.6*

    Anyone know what/when triggers the new snow maps from the NWS offices? They seem to update frequently. Personally, I endorse this one that just came out.

    Radar appears to be more like the HRRR than the NAM's. For whatever that's worth.
