  1. I don't like this range map at all. At least raise the floor on the two high zones.
  2. Off-topic: It's incredibly icy out there this morning. Be careful out there!
  3. Jeff and Lava are reading this with much interest. In addition to ensemble spread in QPF, other points of uncertainty exist around the development of a quasi-stationary mesoscale snow band and the inland penetration of the coastal front. A mesoscale snowband acts to rob moisture from the northwest side of the band creating a tight gradient in snowfall while areas under the band could see up to a foot of snow.
  4. Tossing NAM's, this looks increasingly like it will be a pretty minor event in Maine unless we can get some type of enhancements.
  5. Looks like qpf is getting reduced on the NAM (no suprise) and ICON. At least in Maine. Alas.
  6. Nothing says likely quite like seeing Old Saybrook in the jp zone.
  7. If I'm reading the key correctly, it looks like 10- 12 for here, 12-15 for Jeff......that's workable.
  8. The fact that it started suggests you'll have at least a lot of taint.
  9. Black out and white out are pretty much the same thing. Yes, PWM looks to be a good spot for this.
  10. Lots of time for this to shift.....don't sweat it yet. You might get more than I.
  11. Just realized this map reflects the PWM/BOX/ALY watch areas.
  12. Where you are in Worcester can make a big difference. Airport, e.g., can be way better than the DCU.
  13. Welcome back. You're down in Cockeysville? My daughter's in Monkton.
  14. Regardless of their methodology, I think they would serve themselves (and their crediblity) well by not naming it "Official NWS Forecast". It reminds me of one of my old work friends who would weight all his sales opportunities as 50% saying "either they will or they won't".
  15. They're both (GYX/BOX) from their probablistics. They provide two identified as "Expected: Official NWS Forecast". One provides a number, the other a range. The range version should not be confused with their 10% and 90% probability amounts. Those are diffferent.
