  1. It's too bad this thing can't slow down a bit; I think it's moving a bit too fast to become a huge event. We've got a mecs in any case. Of course in the winter we've had so far......this is enormous!
  2. Yup--that'll help the eastern areas especially.
  3. Curious as to when the airlines will open up the 'free reschedule your flight' options. Probably after the 12z adds greater confidence that it'll be a disaster Sunday.
  4. Deep winter appeal on the freshly fallen snow.
  5. Steve furiously trying to start his generator while Kevin hustles out to try and get his truck in the garage to protect it's finish.
  6. FV3 still putting down 2 or more inches across much of MA/RI, and CT. GFS a bit more generous with 2.5" from an ORH/RI points east.
  7. Where'd you find that? i'm only seeing maps for tonight.
  8. At 84z, the GFS has the low on top of Kevin's dome.
  9. Imagine that with a normal ratio instead of 4:1 sleet.
  10. Drove through bustling downtown Hubb-town today. Unbelievable traffic.
  11. I'll take my chances, it'll be wintery one way or another.
  12. Welcome to the board. You came at a great time!
  13. Thanks for the write-up, Ray. Do you have a separate accumulation band in the north (where you just show snow) or are they captured in the 8-14"? Good luck!
  14. Just read through the last 12 pages or so.....feeling kind of caught up. I'm glad the EC ticked west again. Let things stay as they are.
  15. Sorry about the move away from the devastating zr. Maybe some, but this will be more notable as a big 'end of the curse' storm with lots of snow and IP. At least for most of us. Lap dances at the Blue will continue unabated.
  16. Well, the 18z runs will have us a close to the the 3-day mark so hopefully confidence by way of model consistency/consolidation of outcomes will grow. Of course, they can continue to shift or better yet, shift and diverge so we can completely be scratching our heads again.
  17. May as well continue last year's trend of systems with big amounts--especially if it's the frozen kind.
  18. Thanks. This one seems much less stressful for some reason. Perhaps my daughter's being away at school and my wife at an apartment in Westboro during the work week is making this feel a little less homey. I'm guessing I'll be spending time during Sunday's event packing boxes.
