  1. Glad we don't live there with the ensuing mild-down.
  2. Should this play out like we're seeing now: Sensible weather wise, GFS did the best. NAM missed all over the place. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Euro wins the prize being the most consistent in it's being wrong.
  3. LOL. I'm thinking just a ton of pings here, not ZR. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/01af156f-fc74-49a3-9bae-4b9922d26d77
  4. I'm counting on Messenger shifts to maximize my snow. How about the TWC forecast? I hope Brian kept that one.
  5. fyi--what a hoot if the amounts in the 90% probability played out. EDIT: the ice map isn't embedding right. The new ice map is icier.
  6. No, I'm at Pit1. Should still be good I think. BOX is going for 12-15. I'm hoping MLK temps could stay sub-0. Progged for mi casa is 3*. It will look and feel like a winter of yore.
  7. I think my weather-tap radar will come in handy with this event.
  8. Just noticed that BOX hasn't updated their map since 2:30 yesterday. I'm guessing what finally is issued will be dramatically different.
  9. Despite taint, BOX is bullish for the Pit. Snow, sleet and freezing rain in the morning, then snow likely in the afternoon. Total snow accumulation of 12 to 16 inches. Ice accumulation around a trace. Cold with highs around 20. Temperature falling to around 12 in the afternoon
  10. Hopefully with al the build-up, folks won't be caught off-guard. However, I agree 100% that the nowcasts will be fun. As far as the cold on the backside. check out the FV3 for tomorrow night.
  11. Are you saying I shouldn't believe the 33* surface temp it's giving me at 7:00a.m. on Sunday?
  12. Well that's all I need to see for tonight. I'll let my misery continue with the 06z. Enjoy.
  13. So much for the high not allowing the low to penetrate.
  14. I'm at Pit1, wishing that PF had seen fit to draw his 12-18" line 10 miles further south.
  15. Remember the pdfamily temp map? I'm thinking of that from Rocktober any how few pws reports were showing up. Maybe this could be similar, though not as wide geographically.
  16. Those totals ramp up pretty quickly over a few miles in SNE. I'll take my 14" and run.
  17. I ran a couple skew-t's for my hood and it showed what might be a flirtation with sleet, but it was only razor thin and only briefly. So much for all the excitement of the NAM runs last night. Hopefully the GFS and EC will hold.
  18. This'll be a bit of a bust for northern areas.
  19. NAM has pinging up to me for about 30 minutes.
