  1. Spring arrived overnight. Feels great this morning. Open 'em up.
  2. Got seed down on the front lawn last evening; hopefully that will fill in some rough areas and generally provide some further density. I had a landscaper take a look at the backyard disaster. Grading, filling, removal of a lot of crap. Still waiting on an estimate.
  3. I will likely put down some seed today. The upcoming several days will provide some natural watering.
  4. A nice thing about being a mile from the airport is having (reliable?) readings. 1.23" as of the 7:00a.m. reading. I think the fertilizer I put down yesterday is fertlizing the water table.
  5. Thanks....I raked it out yesterday. With the upcoming rains, I feel good about putting the fertilizer in. It's not a pre-emergent, but I think I'll let it do its stuff and then put down seed. Perhaps next weekend will work given the rains this week to help the fertlizer get drawn in.
  6. I would not fertilize anywhere near my water supply.
  7. Bumping this up for feedback before I put down any fertilizer (before tomorrow night's rain seems like a good time to get it down). Advice on my 3 steps above welcome!
  8. Managed two peeks of the sun this morning--hopefully the clouds will dissipate.
  9. Well, I think we're doing some major overhaul of the backyard disaster, so I have nothing to concern myself with that at this point. In the front though, I'm looking to just do a quick and dirty job without any real focus on ph-levels or any such things. So......I'm guessing I need to: 1) rake out all the dead stuff 2) fertilize--any suggestions of type? I figure that's more a concern for me at this stage than brand 3) seed. How long after I fertilize? Thanks!
  10. And this is why spring in New England royally blows. I wonder if Pit2 is snowing.
  11. Hey, only 7 months untill weenie googles start showing the first inklings of snow opportunities for 2019-20, and 7 months + one day until James' first post of a '78 redux that's going to demolish Cape Cod, MA.
  12. Pretty succinct forecast for tonight.
  13. Apparently, some geological disaster occurred overnight: Worcester Regional Airport MA 9.9692099683869E+36°N 9.9692099683869E+36°E (Elev. -32767 ft)
  14. Congratulations--that's awesome! Let the moneypit times commence. Do you need to change your name or are you still in Taunton?

  16. Anything in April is threading the needle.
  17. Where the heck did the lawn thread go? Did I imagine that Kevin had already started it?
  18. Too bad people only live in 20% of the NE landmass.
