  1. I passed a recycling bin that blew onto pleasant street in Worcester. We try to keep safe.
  2. Righteous gust! I hope you find other good things to report from the analysis you did. ORH managed a 44 mph gust. Let's see what todau brings. Even with the dryslot, we had 3.21" of rain so far. .
  3. That map goes from "wow" to "meh" in just a few miles.
  4. If I didn't have the eye doctor tomorrow morning, I'd be heading up to PIT2 for this one. I'm still counting on the NW winds being the best for those away from the south and east coasts. My daughter's school in Marion might be blown away. Meanwhile, coldest night of the year so far in my hood. 36* so far.
  5. It would be a good wind event for James. For must of us meh like most wind events (post-frontal CAA on wintery NW winds notwithstanding)..
  6. Days and days for Tolland to be without power.
  7. Wobbly lashing coming? Expect the unexpected. FWIW--put me in the Kevin camp wrt to preferred fall weather.
  8. I'm going to file the patches of blue and sun that's broken though in the "expect the unexpected" drawer.
  9. LOL--I had that book as a kid. Well, I guess the HH++ ended up playing out for the vast majority. Clocking in with a solid .10" for the past 24 hours and ORH managed a 30mph gust. We're all safe still.
  10. Just some heavy overcast and breezy in Worcester. ORH had a couple 29mph gusts earlier in the morning, gusts to 25mph in the last hour. 51* at mi casa. COC.
  11. Stay safe. The most important aspect of watching this is we get some fall training for tracking winter events for days that may or may not lead to disappointment. My expectations for 90% of the folks here are pretty tempered.
  12. My daughter in Marion is positioned well for this.
  13. I'm waiting for someone to start making the obligatory winter posts of "these always trend north"
  14. The most important run of our lives at 12z.
  15. Wobbling and lashing. Notable for folks on the immediate coast and certainly for mariners. For the rest of us, this still has the very real threat of HH++ (heavy, heavy ho-hum).
