  1. Thanks. The lighting in the pictures masks the hideous barren spots. I don't think I'll be completely confident in it until next spring.
  2. While I"m sure it will continue to fill in, I think the grass is in enough to recognize I need to do some additional seeding. What are folks thoughts on this--any reason to wait until after a first mowing to put it down? I'd rather get it in in the next couple of days and perhaps hold off on mowing until 2 weekends from now (maybe even longer depending on how it looks).
  3. The train last summer left 8 weeks ago.
  4. We had all of .11 until a heavy downpour and continued lighter rain for the past 45 minutes. Tepid radar shows it should continue lightly for a while.
  5. Sun through clouds here. Happy I don't need to water the grass today.
  6. I'm not sure if it's just the way it is here or due to this year's weather, but so far there's been very little in the bug department here (outside of ants--exterminator coming next week).
  7. .59 with a couple of torrential downpours. I hope the grass that has sprouted has kept the seed that has not from washing away.
  8. The new lawn area celebrates.
  9. Running at 2:00p.m. today really heightened the feel of the humidity and why it sucks so much.
  10. Happy to have some natural watering of the grass. One thing I can scratch off my list.
  11. Certainly south of the Pike looks at risk. It might get blocked getting north of there. That said, I'd like some rain so I don't need to water.
  12. warm in late June. Who could have imagined.
  13. The new grass is growing unbelievably fast. Just from this morning to tonight it went from things you needed to search for (like my picture from earlier shows) to now having large patches of greenish tint. I just finished watering.....eager to see what happens over the next 24 hours. One thing that's kind of a bummer is that I'm not able to move the sprinkler to the center of the new area without walking through the other areas. So, I might find I"ll need to do some additional work on that after the other areas take hold.
  14. Those trying to grow grass hope this post is wrong.
  15. The seed and starter fertilizer were only put down a week ago today. fingers crossed.
  16. Watching grass grow may be a recipe for tedium. Knowing that it is growing is reason for celebration.
  17. The mirror image of the winter models--10 more days.
  18. spent the day up in NH touring Dartmouth. What a beautiful day. COC.
  19. Pouring here in Wormtown at a balmy 50* at 2:00p.m.
