  1. Damn early sunsets....won't be able to judge intensity. On the upside, with the sun setting the snow might start sticking to the roads.
  2. In general......any graphic that encompass you is a good thing And the more the better. That's my take on all this stuff.
  3. You're going to cry yourself to running in a couple incheas of snow in the morninng.
  4. Didn't you already have a few inches? What are you whitening? lol
  5. Back in business, finally. Flakes growing, intensity building, visibility dropping. The trifecta. 26*
  6. Based on the last few weather tap scans, I might be back in business in a few minutes. Kind of suddenly appeared rather than advanced north.
  7. Hearing the plows right now, it seems like the storm has ended and it's clean up time. 26*
  8. I had close to 3" when it let up. Hopefully it'll fill in soon like the HRRR suggests. A few of the meso's were showing this type of whole for several runs yesterday/last night. I had assumed it was just something that would disappear in later runs. I'm holding my hat on the HRRR's depiction of it picking up within the hour.
  9. The hole is expanding northward....looks to be approached Jeff's hood. Might be closing in from the south.....but it's painfuilly slow.
  10. Not sure what they have in the forecast at this poitn, but the AFD had them upping them along the coast. Meanwhile, the HRRR shows the snow hole filling in within the hour and then progressively get better from there with several hours of good qpf coming in. Fingers crossed.
  11. That being said, this stationary snow hole is pissing me off. It's been here for at least an hour plus.
  12. I'll give kudos to a few models which had placed a snow hole on my head for a while on several runs. I had figured it would disappear but it kept showing up. It's now showed up for real.....it's been meager for the past hour and the radar wants that hole to hang out for a while more.
  13. Check out the updated GYX statement I just posted in the other storm thread.
  14. Even with a calm storm like this, the wind is blowing pretty good off the water. Snow blowing sideways and drifting a bit as evidenced by clear deck rails. Measuring at Pit2 is always an adventure. The wind at the new pit1 can be pretty good too, but i'm not really eager to measure rain.
  15. An update from GYX. Love to see it as I'm sitting at 26* What I am watching closely is temps along the coast tracking the location of the coastal front. Temps are dropping along the Midcoast as the front drifts east...... So my gut feeling is that if it has not significantly warmed up along the coast by now it is unlikely to do so from this point forward. Snowfall rates thru evening will be 1 inch or more per hour at times...especially under the largely stationary band paralleling the storm track. As a result snowfall amounts are higher than previous forecasts especially for coastal southwestern Maine into Rockingham County NH.
  16. I'm guessing those areas over my head mean something good.
  17. My GYX p/c now limits my mix to between 2-3pm. I can deal with that.
  18. Is the 9.9" from the RAP on Ray's head? congrats!
  19. Weathertap is showing the mix not too far off. It hasn't been moving yet. Pit2 is the pin east of Brunswick
  20. I'm suddenly in a bummer of a lull. wasn't expecting that.
  21. Just looked at the HRRR......it's not showing taint (or at least very little). Meanwhile, it shows it ripping here from 4:00 - 10:00. Bring it.
