  1. I'll be driving the 1.25 miles to ORH in about 20 minutes to pick up my wife so I can see how the car thermometer changes. This is the most convenient airport for me ever. There are so few flights, if I hear a jet coming in for a landing, I check to see the airline (Delta today), wait a few minutes, grab a DD and then head up. Even if I hit the 2 lights as red, I still get there in under 5 minutes. FWIW--the Accurite is still showing 73.
  2. 80 fail perhaps in Weymouth? Probably not---but possible.
  3. Lol. When I drove back from the store an hour it so ago my fwiw car was reading 71.
  4. ORH is currently 71.6*. My Accuritate is showing 73*. My wife's 'fwiw-thereometer with the bird on it' is 71*. Edit: ORH is 73. No change to the rest of my post. It is what it is. Maybe Jet Blue passed the sensor.
  5. Okay, here's what I've got so far. Thursday wound up at 75 Yesterday was 70 Today--the torch day--is currently 73 at 1:00pm.. We'll see how the rest of the afternoon goes.
  6. Regardless of definitions of torch and interpretations of it in seasons, one thing is certain: Today is just awesome. 65/50, not a cloud to be seen.
  7. Not here apparently. I guess we can call this another "10-days failure". The drumbeat of the year continues.
  8. Can someone remind me when the torch is? I want to be sure I have time to install. TIA.
  9. AN does not equal HHH. The world will survive.
  10. Summer's dead. Admittedly yesterday was warm and humid. Seriously though.......do you really expect HHH moving forward? I laugh.
  11. I'll likely turn on the ceiling fan. This X10.
  12. I'll go with: '78 Rocktober Irene's flooding 1993
  13. Failed to hit 80 at the Pit.....topped at 79*. I'll chalk that up as a win. 77* now.
  14. 79 at the Pit. We'll see if we hit 80. Not sure when the 'hot time of day' is at this point in the year. I'm guessing it's right around now, perhaps a smidge earlier.
  15. Off-topic.....there's a pretty neat show of WW II planes at ORH this weekend. I went yesterday. I tell ya, after the feeling of claustrophobia while crawling through a B-17, I don't think I'll ever complain about someone putting their seat back on a CRJ again. To think my uncle was a navigator on one of those when he was only 17......one of the many who lied about their ages to enlist.
  16. I won't go as far as saying "should", but with respect to this transient mild-up, today's probably the best chance of it. 75* here at the Pit.
  17. We're going to need a bigger paddle-board.
