  1. Plenty of time for that to run into YUL. j/k Things like this are always fun to dream about: Monday Night A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28. North wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Tuesday A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Tuesday Night A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. North wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Wednesday A chance of snow. Partly sunny, with a high near 30. Northwest wind 14 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
  2. Since everyone bailed after yesterday, 'biggest run' is a really relative term. Good luck NNE.
  3. I also have to remember you're in Maine and we're in the tropics.
  4. This is a race I never like being in. I'd much rather be fending off a warm intrusion than waiting on the outcome of that race.
  5. LOL. His disappearances are short-lived in the winter. The allure of a 10-day threat is just too strong. On the plus side, he'll be able to spend Saturday washing the rain stains off his truck.
  6. Let's start the parade of "in 10-day pattern change" that we had last year. That one never got old. I'm not speaking of rarity--I'm speaking of the delta. No need to dwell anymore on it though.
  7. I could have used this in my post that listed the gamut of things the pre-season storm thread included: Someone clinging to an RPM run and claiming "all is not lost".
  8. Crying while eating Halloween candy.
  9. Not really, Jerry. 23 in ORH vs. 4 in SVT? I'd put that at least in the mostly sunny vs. mostly cloudy realm.
  10. Man what a gradient between N/C NE and SNE. Man-winter vs. Meh-winter. Let's hope that's not the snow gradient we see this year.
  11. On the bright side, it will be a nice brisk weekend to continue on leaf duty.
  12. Every failed snow event is bridge-worthy. We just climb out of the river at the first scintilla of the next event. That's what we do.
  13. Another "pre-season' lesson: When you wake up to 19 new posts, don't bother looking anymore. It was fun to see snow icons in the forecast for a couple of days. They're now stowed away for some other day.
  14. Didn't miss that at all.....it then goes on to say they're calling it the GFS. Reading comprehension, ftl.
  15. I think this says they're still calling it the GFS, it's inherited the GFS moniker. That almost reads like a Tip post. Congrats, Chris and Dave.
