Yes from pwm. I thought sn starts just after midnight Mon night
PWM is the worst for that early morning departure (or at least it was when I lived up there 2005-2008). The line tor security would loop around the entire terminal--lots of folks missing their flights.
One thing we have seen in the early part of this season is the tendency for events to trend more wintry. Hopefully this can do the same without getting shredded a la Nam.
Discounted afternoon lap-dances at the Blue.
I'm up at 4:30 myself. I'm not doing chores then, but am able to clear my mind as I drink coffee, check email, what's happening here, etc. before the demands of the day take root.
I'm not sure how deep the frozen ground is at this point. Aside from the diaster earlier in the week, I imagine the cold of the month has it pretty deep. I suspect that could make for a lot of lawn puddles and more 'street streams' than in a typical heavy rain event.
Meanwhile, no mention in the BOX AFD about icing potential, simply to a 'mixed-bag' of precipitation.
Get the sandbags ready, Ginx!
* Heavy rain late tonight through Saturday morning will result in
widespread 1.50 to 2.50 inches of rain. Localized higher amounts
of 3 to 3.50 inches are possible. This will bring the potential
for flooding, which will continue through the weekend on some
rivers as a result of runoff.
That was the crappiest new 4 pages of overnight posts I have EVER encountered. Disaster!
Thanks to Chris and James for their attempts to bring it back to weather.
Meanwhile, it's going to be a pretty miserable day for the Boston Speedo Run on Saturday.
I think that's Dr. Dew's pretending it's an HHH day in December.
