  1. The recognition of shorter days hit me last night and this morning. The accumulation of the imperceptible daily shifts have hit the tipping point. We've lost 28 minutes of daylight so far. I celebrate this in the summer. In late January, I bemoan the lengthening of them. Oddly, as I typed this, I thought that sounded like a Tip post. To complete that theme, I'd have to say something liike "heh--in a few more weeks we'll find the magnitude of the solar radiance isn't heating the inside of my car as much".
  2. It looks like the accurite at mi casa hit 92. Surprised that's all--I always get the sense it runs warm when the sun hits it.
  3. How boring a weather season is summer? Exhibit A: this thread title.
  4. It'll be an unwelcome change when I return to ORH from the forecasted 82* at Pit2. Alas.
  5. It is only in the summer. In winter, its ORH.
  6. Did you look at the EC map you were responding to?
  7. Yup--get out the shawls, get out the blankets.
  8. Yes. Dew of 59 remind me of dews of 78-80 as well. Reminds me of how much more comfortable it is. Either way, I'll be at Pit2 with the progged weekend highs of 78 and 82.
  9. It's a dry heat. Great for a seat in the shade.
  10. No drought as far as the eye can see.
  11. .26" at ORH. Glad I don't need to water today.
  12. Glad I'll be up at Pit2 this weekend. COC lives on up there.
  13. I need to retire and get back to Pit2. Enough of heat and humidity. Highs for the rest of the week: 70 Wed 67 Thur 66 Fri 79 Sat
  14. And that's not all we're losing. We've lost 20 minutes of daylight and are now losing about 1.5 minutes/day. That'll accelerate to losing over 2 minutes/day by months end.
  15. Congrats. How's your drought stein friend treating you?
  16. Sun's breaking through at Pit2. Looks like I'll get some yardwork done.
  17. We won't worry about those details.
