  1. Too bad it's such a short-duration event. At least we can all enjoy snow cover.
  2. Love the look of that. Perhaps I can both get and eek out a warning verification (is that 7 or 8 for GYX??).. BOX has a watch for here which I doubt will verify. GYX has no watch as of now yet may verify. The advisory/warning drumbeat of '19-20 continues.
  3. I think for Maine it will all be at night. A blessing and a curse--waking up to a fresh snow is great; not being able to see how hard it's actually snowing, not so much. Regardless, snow is better than no snow.
  4. Yeah--I'm not sure about the high end of those ranges playing out. But I guess if the low ones do, the forecast verifies.
  5. Even though the better dynamics will be best, I'm thinking it's doable.
  6. Nice look from Dave through GC. No map up yet from GYX, though my p/c up there is saying 4-8 (zfp says 'heavy snow accumulation). Both sound nice....we'll see how it plays out.
  7. It's squarely into middle-aged and beginning the back nine.
  8. Pit2 ftw. Throw on another 4 or so this weekend and it will have a decent fresh coating. A sight for sore eyes for those of us in the warm and rainy tropics.
  9. Hints that the prospects for SNE are diminishing Hint #1: Fewer than 1 page of new posts by 9:00a.m. Hint #2: A third of the posts that are made revolve around yelp reviews of motels in northern Maine for sledders.
  10. LOL--I guess you can only get totals and not specific time frames. Do you have a map that show's ME?
  11. Making sure I'm following this. Subtract map 1 from map 2 to get the totals from the weekend system?
  12. We'd all rather have some inconsequential wind over snow.
  13. Which is why no one is posting abut it.
  14. I can't imagine anyone in a weather forum gives a shit about anything downstream at any time.
  15. Not the best look for SNE on 06z gfs. While most will get whitened, this is latitudinal gradient in full-form. Winners (no surprise): CNE/NNE 1st Runner-up: Rt2/495 NW 2nd Runner Up: Pike to Rt 2 Also rans: everyone else
  16. Just saw the 6-10" for Pit2. Nice localized score for the region. Congrats. Here in the tropics, just a light coating. Probably .5, perhaps a smidge more,, snowing nicely attm. At least things are white again.
  17. Frozen snot weather coming up in Maine next week.
  18. Pretty meh from BOX (below). GYX now has me all snow (plus they're calling for 4-7 tonight) ftw. Saturday Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Saturday Night Rain and snow, becoming all rain after midnight, then gradually ending. Low around 27. South wind 7 to 9 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
  19. What's west of I-90? The Pacific? Nice look for all, though glad I'll be at Pit2.
  20. Nice to see that. I was referencing my p/c which was 2-4. The ZFP is 3-6. Not a huge difference, but enough to buoy the spirits.
