Straight snow of some type.
Meanwhile, my Accurite must be reading high. Despite it showing a temp of 33*, I have icicles (using that term loosely) hanging from my deck table.
LOL. I've been leery of the ice calls, but was got sucked in because of the uniformity of them. 0.0 ice. Surprised to see flakes--no sleet. Not sure if it's transient and we flip back to rain or if we might actually whiten the ground
So, as I remind myself to once again, NEVER, EVER, EVER get sucked into the idea of ice, I'm moving this January thread from the ash-heap in case other weenies aren't too deflated to continue looking to the future.
Well that ain't going to happen here. 34/29.
Driving back from Shelburne, the cold spot on 122 was in Petersham (30*). Ticked up to 31* in Barre and was stuck there all the way past the airport and ticked up to 32* as I got home. That said, I see ORH is currently 34 so car thermometer is likely not accurate.
I feel a big ice bust is in store.
Is this precip arriving earlier than epected? I thought it wasn't until closer to 10:00p.m. I'm picking up my daughter's friend in Shelburne this evening--hopefully before any icing (expect to be there at 7:00p.m, back to ORH by 8:30)
Thanks for the thoughts, Ray. Can you clarify the ice zones? The GT .5 is clear, but I'm not deciphering the other regions of up-to .5, up to .25, and the mainly rain/sleet regions.
Thanks again--good luck with the call.
