  1. Most b;lack bears are pretty content to walk away from a dog. Obviously they have the size-advantage but they are bothered by the harrassment and look for womeone else's bird feeder.
  2. Where is James?? Congrats Dendrite.
  3. I'm hoping for a little rain today. I didn't water last night nor this morning. Hoping I won't have to later.
  4. Out of curiousity, how long does it take you to write a post? Thanks for the info.
  5. Hopefully my roof doesn't leak during house showings.
  6. It’s as much a lock as one of Paul’s severe threats and James ‘78 redux dreams.
  7. Heat making headlines is a sign of a very slow news day. Just sayin’.
  8. Minisplits are great. We have one at Pit2. Constant comfort. I don't think this week means next week. Reading comprehension, ftl.
  9. Well, hopes for heat this week are down the crapper (not that I hope for heat). Humidity will be there, but warm average temps will be driven by mild nights, not by daytime heat.. At least there''ll be a break from watering the lawn.
  10. I think we should rekindle the debate of CT geography. That’s as helpful as the coronavirus thread.
  11. Progged temps for the week have been lowered a tick. Still shows an 89 for Thursday (had been a 92 IIRC) and 84-85 the remainder of the week. Following tomorrow's 75* that is. Still warm in any case. Warm nights still in tact, ftl.
  12. Yeah.....we're selling the house we recently moved to. It hits the market this week. We had grabbed this one more out of necessity than actually 'loving' it. We're not in a position to buy before we sell nor are we in the need to immediately get something if it does go under contract. Worse case (best case?) scenario we had up to Maine and have a leisurely search.
  13. Nice. 84/60 here.. Could be worse.
  14. Yeah---we've taken that into account on our list price.
  15. Hey, I can't help but think of Kevin......with the house hitting the market, we're installing! If we go to a place with central air, there's going to be a bunch of window units hitting Craigs List.
  16. We're losing almost a minute a day now. All down hill from here. Epstein didn't kill himself. Fact.
  17. Do I get a weenie trophy for setting the record?
  18. My winter storm threat threads die quickly--usually within 4 model runs.
  19. Not that there's much difference between the banter thread and the monthly thread outside of late fall/winter, the banter thread should be changed to Summer.
  20. Yes. What a difference in highs: Tues Wed Thurs Fri Sat Pit 1 82 88 92 92 83 Pit 2 70 74 79 79 76
  21. Overnight A slight chance of drizzle. The drizzle could be heavy at times. Patchy dense fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 59. South wind around 5 mph. Sunday Scattered showers, mainly after 5pm. Patchy dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 69. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Sunday Night Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, then scattered showers between midnight and 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 59. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Monday Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Monday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 55. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Tuesday Mostly sunny, with a high near 70. Huh??
  22. Looks like a foggy/misty 63* at Pit2 with progged highs in the mid 70's all week. World of difference from the sunny 81* here in ORH.
  23. One of his best was Apocalypto. Tremendous.
  24. Thanks for posting this! It's a little surprising that it took an Australian to come up with the best movie on the time. Like him or now, Mel makes great movies.
