  1. I can't imagine anyone in a weather forum gives a shit about anything downstream at any time.
  2. Not the best look for SNE on 06z gfs. While most will get whitened, this is latitudinal gradient in full-form. Winners (no surprise): CNE/NNE 1st Runner-up: Rt2/495 NW 2nd Runner Up: Pike to Rt 2 Also rans: everyone else
  3. Just saw the 6-10" for Pit2. Nice localized score for the region. Congrats. Here in the tropics, just a light coating. Probably .5, perhaps a smidge more,, snowing nicely attm. At least things are white again.
  4. Frozen snot weather coming up in Maine next week.
  5. Pretty meh from BOX (below). GYX now has me all snow (plus they're calling for 4-7 tonight) ftw. Saturday Snow likely, mainly after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Saturday Night Rain and snow, becoming all rain after midnight, then gradually ending. Low around 27. South wind 7 to 9 mph becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
  6. What's west of I-90? The Pacific? Nice look for all, though glad I'll be at Pit2.
  7. Nice to see that. I was referencing my p/c which was 2-4. The ZFP is 3-6. Not a huge difference, but enough to buoy the spirits.
  8. Thanks. It doesn't really show ME, but extrapolating what it's showing along the coast in far southern areas is far from exciting. My post above still holds true. That said, I thought the map was for the weekend, not tomorrow night.
  9. Ch 6 not thinking more than 3-6". Thought it was going to be a stronger sys then tomorrow I haven't been up there in a couple months. My wife was there over the weekend and said it was still snow-covered. So at least there's that going ito perhaps a couple mundane events. That would at least provide some cover to aid with any follow-up cold.
  10. I'm still planning to be at Pit2 for this, but even there GYX is calling for taint.
  11. Not sure what the models are showing, but along the mid coast, GYX is calling for 2-4" as of this morning.
  12. Thread started? Oh no---we're doomed!!
  13. I know we're not at the long-awaited pattern change, but this series of misses (if this does in fact cut) is a real downer.
  14. LOL--like the protest. GYX has introduced sn/rn for Sunday. We bide our time.
  15. Do you wean "warming' or "warning"? Either way, hopefully the Maine coast will avoid much taint.
  16. You and Tip can snuggle together in the backseat as the sun warms things up through the windshield.
  17. Here’s the state of my “pack”.
  18. I recall a really good pattern setting up last year, too.........
  19. "I wonder what happens if I push this button......."
  20. Agreed. And even within that described area there’s often a gradient—sometimes significant—at play.
  21. Agreed. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had a broad model failure this season. Just saying.
