  1. I'll have to keep my eyes out for more of AMWX folks. Thanks about the house. It's old (1780) but it's already been fixed up. At least that's how it appears--we have the inspection on Thursday.
  2. It's 85 here---breeze is great though.
  3. LOL to see your response to my post in the Globe. Since we can't talk about coronavirus here......
  4. It’s time for James to remove the boards from his windows.
  5. Hopefully it I’ll be enough rain to reveal any roof shortcomings for our home inspection in Thursday.
  6. go ahead. It'll probably be the same thread as we might not have any other threats this season.
  7. 73/72. Yuck. At least after this system comes through, COC will lreturn. At least for a while. Meanwhile, we just had our offer accepted on a new Pit1. I'll probably never see snow again as we'll be heading to Southborough. Closing ORH on 9/1, moving into SB 9/15. I get a couple weeks in Pit 2 out of the deal.
  8. Aint' exactly a "batten down the hatches" kind of storm. Tropical season in NE lives on. 525 AM EDT Mon Aug 3 2020 ...TROPICAL STORM WATCH IN EFFECT... A Tropical Storm Watch means tropical storm-force winds are possible somewhere within this area within the next 48 hours * LOCATIONS AFFECTED - Milford - Worcester * WIND - LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Below tropical storm force wind - Peak Wind Forecast: 25-35 mph with gusts to 45 mph
  9. I wonder if it might be worth coming up with an excuse to go up to Pit2. I'm guessing it would be more exciting than ORH.
  10. Yeah. It's only a soaking rain when it's 2-3" over the course of 2-3 days. Congrats, Hoth.
  11. Here's the Deerfield River in Shelburne Falls the day after Irene. Appaprently my other stuff is on phones I may not longer have.
  12. We have no need for models unless they show devastating damage.
  13. 8:00am is about a fart away from Pit2. LOL. Might need to be watering the lawn again on Wednesday.
  14. Actually, it could be a great time. You can hope for winds to break your windows and HOI will cover your new ones. Sometimes things work out that way.
  15. Had some thunder and lightning wake me up at some point overnight. I guess it was further away than I thought as it appears we didn't get any rain,.
  16. Since we're now discussing which month is the most boring weather month, I guess the heat thread is now done. Heat and dews are the most boring of any weather event. Bar none.
  17. Gross morning. 74/68. LOL at people attributing a shark attack to global warming. With Maine's colder water, there are both fewer sharks and fewer swimmers. A winning recipe for few enoucnters. While rare, I did see that they had caught an 18' white back in '96. Harpswell is close to Pit2, only an 18 mile drive. Probably half that as the crow flys.
