  1. Now that my house is under contract, I don't give a shit about my lawn.
  2. We'll take it while it lasts. The fact of the matter is, we are on the down-hill side of summer. So, keep that in mind when any heat comes up. Before you know it we'll be looking for frost advisories in NNE.
  3. Breeze has just kicked in here in ORH. What's the latest on rain thoughts? My hope for that is steadily dwindling. How often does one need to think they need to water their lawn the day after a tropical system?
  4. Frequent power outages at the Blue and bad drivers on i-84.
  5. How many years did it take from his name change from CTBlizz?
  6. It's too bad we'll be watering the lawns again tomorrow.
  7. Gulf-stream fueled tornadoes are the worst of all. I guess it's a little too late to head to Pit2
  8. Your shawl comment has gotten 3 likes and 3 dislikes.
  9. CT = "The Blackout State". Even without a windstorm.
  10. Coronovirus blowing every which way 'til Sunday.
  11. I'll have to keep my eyes out for more of AMWX folks. Thanks about the house. It's old (1780) but it's already been fixed up. At least that's how it appears--we have the inspection on Thursday.
  12. It's 85 here---breeze is great though.
  13. LOL to see your response to my post in the Globe. Since we can't talk about coronavirus here......
  14. It’s time for James to remove the boards from his windows.
  15. Hopefully it I’ll be enough rain to reveal any roof shortcomings for our home inspection in Thursday.
  16. go ahead. It'll probably be the same thread as we might not have any other threats this season.
  17. 73/72. Yuck. At least after this system comes through, COC will lreturn. At least for a while. Meanwhile, we just had our offer accepted on a new Pit1. I'll probably never see snow again as we'll be heading to Southborough. Closing ORH on 9/1, moving into SB 9/15. I get a couple weeks in Pit 2 out of the deal.
  18. Aint' exactly a "batten down the hatches" kind of storm. Tropical season in NE lives on. 525 AM EDT Mon Aug 3 2020 ...TROPICAL STORM WATCH IN EFFECT... A Tropical Storm Watch means tropical storm-force winds are possible somewhere within this area within the next 48 hours * LOCATIONS AFFECTED - Milford - Worcester * WIND - LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Below tropical storm force wind - Peak Wind Forecast: 25-35 mph with gusts to 45 mph
  19. I wonder if it might be worth coming up with an excuse to go up to Pit2. I'm guessing it would be more exciting than ORH.
  20. Yeah. It's only a soaking rain when it's 2-3" over the course of 2-3 days. Congrats, Hoth.
  21. Here's the Deerfield River in Shelburne Falls the day after Irene. Appaprently my other stuff is on phones I may not longer have.
  22. We have no need for models unless they show devastating damage.
  23. 8:00am is about a fart away from Pit2. LOL. Might need to be watering the lawn again on Wednesday.
