  1. Just had a facebook memory pop up of a pic I posted from the old Pit1. Just a tiny patch of snow captioned "the last of the winter 2015-16: The winter that wasn't". I'm glad we managed to salvage this year in spite of the disastrous January.
  2. He'd be much happier living where droughts are real and mean something.
  3. My dog does not want winter to end. Snow cover being a little stubborn. Maybe it will be gone tomorrow.
  4. Is that in CT? What water are you on? mesnwhile last of my driveway ice. Will be gone before the day’s done.
  5. 47 already. Hopefully we can beat yesterday.
  6. We’ll see how this looks tomorrow ( or this afternoon). Already 53 on the accu-wrong.
  7. Good luck with that,Paul. Get your exclamation points ready.
  8. For whatever 198 hour maps are worth.
  9. It hasn't rained since the weekend, so we must be destined for the Dust Bowl.
  10. Not to be nit-picky.....but I'd say 55" IS normal. You can say it's less than average but 'average' and 'normal' are not the same thing. Normal is typically identified as being within 1 SD. In other words, you are solidly in 'normal' territory for snowfall.
  11. I'm going B-. B if we can score something big in March. Lack of cold the entire season and complete abdication of winter during January will keep it from scoring any higher. Any chances of snow squalls with the passage tomorrow?
  12. Nothing sucks more than spring in the Midcoast. We long for June.
  13. We have a sun room at the house---it's really just a roof and supports on the deck (the floor is part of the deck). The walls are entirely windows, essentially floor to ceiling. I think I'm going to name it The Tip Room. With the sun shinining through, the thermometer is reading 80*. lol. Basking in the warmth.
  14. Given the efficacy of the models this season with respect to 2-week lead times, 'nothing of note' is probably an omen of epicosity incoming.
  15. Nothing that some Tip spring solar radiation can't handle with relatively mild temps. Mud season awaits.
  16. Yup. From 4:00 - 8:00 was the best of the two days.
