  1. In West Lancaster still all snow, but looking at CC I do see pockets of sleet. Closing in on 4”. .
  2. Impressive. Pixie dust going over to better flake structure here in Lancaster, PA. 23F, 1”+ .
  3. Sun angle is an issue if it is light snow. That won’t accumulate well. But moderate to heavy will accumulate in April sun. . EDIT: Itstrainingtime beat me to the punch!!
  4. When one of the best METs is on board, I start to REALLY get excited. .
  5. Yeah, I never liked the past event. When I saw that artic air dumping into Texas I knew we were in trouble....at least LSV. This Wed/Thur deal I have liked because it’s right on the heals of that departing crappy storm and better confluence up north. Should be good for a few inches, although a flip to sleet should be expected. .
  6. Frontogenic band will be very impressive. Some taint in usual spots. .
  7. Exactly. Being in the science field (Mechanical Engineer), I have a huge appreciation of what these models do and what meteorologists can predict days in advanced. I am amazed at how close forecasts are. However, most people think science should be exact, and it is totally the opposite. .
  8. Long gave up on any frozen for LSV. Slow, 2 pieces, no confluence. Just drizzle here. .
  9. Whenever you start seeing storms breaking into two parts, it’s bad news. That started happening with today’s event days ago. New it was a non event for Lancaster County.
  10. I lost interest on the Monday/Tuesday thing 3 or 4 days ago. I never really believed the snow or ice that was being shown on models (at least for LSV). More interest for Thursday. I do feel there will be a good thump of snow. Just how much and how long we hold on will be the key. We will switch over to sleet or sleet/freezing rain and over to drizzle/dry slot. .
  11. This Thursday storm setting up with really good thump potential. .
  12. Better confluence, nice thump. It gets better and better. .
