    What I like about the 12Z GFS is expansion of heavier precipitation north and no real change on the southern end of the snowfall distribution.

    While I am only about 3 miles ESE of where they take measurements, I ended up with 46.50" of rain. Just goes to show you how different precipitation can be in small distances. NOTE: Nearly 12" of rain in August skewed my numbers.

    Abruzzo, Italy! Talk about a white Christmas! Slammed with nearly 5 feet of snow in three days. They average 35” of snow.

    The best is when they still believe in Santa Claus and seeing the look on your faces when “he” delivered all the presents under the tree. I will always remember that. .

    Yep, technically need a minimum of 1” of snow on ground for a white Christmas. Not sure who made up that rule. .
