  1. hmmmm.. i don't know... that's a tough one. with the trending and the consistant euro.. i'd lean close to euro, but it's really a tough one.. for some reason the chat thing doesn't work for me in the radio web page, even after signing in
  2. you listening to the radio show too? I just tuned in
  3. yea, I just hope it keeps holding serve. amazing the kind of solution it keeps pumping out
  4. yea. the euro is nice and tight and close off.. it's a bit too open.. if it closed off, the surface reflection would be further west
  5. too bad it doesn't close off at 500 mb.. that would help out a lot
  6. ooh boy.. gotta curve inward.. it's slipping off a bit
  7. yea, check out the orientation of the height lines along the east coast now.. I think this baby may come up close the coast this time.
  8. it phased very well and a bit earlier I think. I think it looks very good so far
  9. it looks like the energies are gonna phase well on this one, right? at 18Z, the pieces were still distinct and apart... they seem to be coming together now
  10. at 51, it looks like the problem has kind of corrected itself out.. at least comparing it to 18Z
  11. at 45, the northern stream is a bit concerning to me.. it doesn't look oriented to dig quite like it looked at 18z, but let's wait and see what it does.
  12. i think the boards may crash lol.. it's getting slow.. i'm sure we'll be breaking attendance records again this evening.
  13. at 39, the shortwave over texas is a bit northeast of 18z, the northern stream looks fairly similar at this point
  14. cool.. maybe I'll compare to the last run of the GFS and see where any differences start happening.
  15. well.. here we go with the GFS. hopefully more folks will come in here.. everybody's probably in tombo's thread or the main one... so crowded in there sometimes
  16. ahh ok.. i subscribed for a whopping 1 day and cancelled and went to storm vista right after. I thought accu would come out quick, but it didn't
  17. hey! how's it going. hope you get in on some of the snow too.
  18. yea, exactly. I was thinking the same thing. I'm not crazy about the 500 mb chart. Vorticity would be much more helpful. Also, I wish there was jet stream level available too.. unless I'm missing it, I don't recall ever seeing it.
  19. awesome! you got SV too. It's pretty cool. I subscribed about a month ago. I wish it wasn't so pricey but I like the simple to use interface and how it updates without having to hit the refresh button like this place.
  20. hey all.. how's it going. I always forget that there's a hudson valley thread and I'm in the hudson valley... i guess.. kind of.. you gonna follow the GFS at the main thread this evening. I'd be happy to give a bit of a play by play in this thread for a change. I've got that sneak peak subscription thingie like Tombo so I can give you a bit of a heads up
  21. and then there's Differential Equations, which was just insanity..
  22. I graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Science back in 97, worked very briefly as a forecaster, but saw things were tough in the fields, so went back immediately to get a masters in Information Systems. I have been in that field ever since and keeping this as a hobby, but also looking for ways of possibly mixing the two fields together somehow.
