06z GFS is a White Christmas with highs in the 20s for most... teens in the mountains. 06z GFS would suggest rain Christmas Eve changing to heavy wet snow... ending Christmas morning. 4-8" of snow. A Christmas miracle indeed

Still some really light snow/flurries outside... dang. Been snowing for almost 2 hours here... just a quarter inch or so... but very nice

Just went out for a walk at my new apartment in Fairfax City... at 3am lol. No one is out except for a car or two. Really nice to just walk around the block in the quiet, watching the snow fall in the lamp lights above you. Walking down the streets on the sidewalks... feeling the snowflakes hit you... nice and kind of serene.

FWIW, it seemed like 09z HRRR at the end of its run was going to have a decent CCB or banding come roaring through before the storm pulls away from our area

Guess we'll find out by 20z whether its the NAM or HRRR that will be right... 09z HRRR says 2-4" in DC by 20z 09z HRRR says its snowing in DC by 10am... by noon its pouring snow in DC proper
