  1. Most hurricanes only achieve category 5 status for hours... Irma is the longest at a little over 3 days. It just takes a perfect environment to achieve and maintain that intensity.
  2. Once Lee landfalls in NS or NF, the weenies will have finally realized that there was never a chance here. Only 8 more days to go.
  3. The modeled trough at the end of the GFS run would get it done. Just no modeled cane.
  4. Knowing recent history this thing will likely stall between Carolinas and Bermuda. Lol Then drift harmlessly out to sea.
  5. I mean there’s been a lot of hurricane Bill talk, why not a repeat?
  6. The course has a free booklet in pro shop to help with angles and lines. Also, the starter definitely gave us a heads up to not be long.
  7. Ok. Liked the course: relatively short, smallish greens but was in great shape. +5 75
  8. No idea. Never been. Playing tomorrow morning at 630a. Going to be chilly!
  9. Can't be too old... built between 1997 & 2000.
  10. Anyone ever play Breakfast Hill in Greenland, NH?
  11. Played golf on Monday for first time in two weeks and legit felt like I forgot how to play the game. Yikes.
  12. Fitting radar presentation if you ask me.
  13. Consider me surprised…. Not that far north. Perhaps the compact size helps.
  14. The new technology will definitely help. My irons are 10 yrs old. I spin my 7-iron at like 4500 rpm. Wicked high. I hit a newer iron in the simulator and it instantly dropped it to 2500 rpm.
  15. Looks incredible. Hitting low stinging irons all day long for the backdrop. lol
  16. Move to Iowa.... feel like they average one destructive derecho per year.
  17. If you are focused on the results... then yes.... since Bob we've had nothing (except the un-named Cat 1 Scott mentions). But if you focus on the opportunities, as WxWatcher points out... we've had a fairly conducive pattern for a decade.
  18. I think Tip made this point previously... but we have been busy. We just haven't had a landfalling hurricane. Henri, Elsa, Isaias, Fay, Irene and to a lesser extent Sandy.
  19. An annual thread for this topic is a good laugh.
  20. This is vastly improved from a couple years ago. Well done
