  1. or at least make sure your gutters are clear
  2. You’re probably right and I suppose that will discourage smaller dispensaries from opening in that part of the state.
  3. This info also. https://www.courant.com/business/hc-biz-foxwoods-cannabis-dispensary-20210825-grw6qffmvza2hmnxjyfhucp6l4-story.html
  4. No they would not. But it’s still only under consideration.
  5. Do you have a link that it’s been finalized?
  6. I though that was just in the possibility phase.
  7. The wind didn’t seem that strong here compared to other storms but our yard is a freaking mess. Two trees down and several limbs 15-20 long. We’ve had a lot of wind here over the years but never this about of tree damage. Maybe because the wind came from a direction that the trees aren’t used to. Power is on but no cable/internet.
  8. Save 5 gallons, put stabilizer in it and put the rest in the car.
  9. Strongest gusts the last 20 mins or so. Top half of a skinny 40’ tree snapped off and a few 10-20’ branches down around the yard. Power went out for 5 minutes but back on for now.
  10. The old under promise, over deliver trick
  11. I believe so but regardless, wx_observer didn’t hear it right.
  12. “According to Eversource, 50% to 69% of their customers could lose power. Restorations could go on from 8 to 21 days.”
  13. Think the surf will be interesting enough for a drive to RI beaches tomorrow afternoon?
  14. Warmer weather is definitely better if you’re going to lose power for days. I know we lost power during the ice storm in 1973. Not sure for how long but I know it was several days. Pipes froze all over the house and did considerable damage. My dad had 4 or 5 big tropical fish tanks and all the fish died. We had fireplaces but they didn’t help for warming the house, just close radiant heat.
  15. Yea long outages suck. We lost power for 2 weeks after Gloria and it was hot and humid afterword for several days. My son was about 2 months old and I remember it being freaking hot. No fan, no ac and no water. We had to drive to in-laws 10 miles away to get tubs of water just for flushing the toilet. I bought a generator shortly after and would never be without one.
  16. When I was 12 we lived in a house in Westchester County NY that had a bomb shelter under the garage. It had some sort of air filter with a big crank that you'd use in a prolonged power outage. My parents didn't want us to tell our friends but I think we had every kid in the neighborhood down there at some point.
  17. Yikes ...four lifestars just flew over heading to Hartford.
  18. You have a nice place up in Randolph. Why don’t you take up fly fishing.? Get outside. It’s good for your head.
