    The GFS barely has a southern stream low. Most of the moisture in western sections is from WAA.

    I think our chance is for the WAA transport to be oriented right at us to get a front end thump. GFS kind of shows this.

    Major issues showing up- 1. Progressive quick moving system being ushered out by the TPV/northern stream. 2. Weaker confluence to the NE leading to warmer temps ahead of the system. 3. Weaker southern stream wave

    Models are also starting to weaken the confluence in the NE along with having a weaker system. There is less cold out ahead of the storm.

    NAM is still warm but it's also progressive

    Really think the northern stream is our main culprit. The TPV is too close and pressing down on our poor weak southern stream.

    We need a complete atmospheric reset somehow. A big volcanic eruption or a small meteor maybe?

    If the trend continues, the piedmont will only see light amounts from your ideal solution. Weaker also runs the risk of cold transport not being as good and lighter precip could mean more mix. A stronger system has more boom or bust potential sure but if all you want is an inch or 2 that falls in 4 to 6 hours then root for this solution.

    Here we go with the weaker, strung out system like I warned yesterday. Atmospheric memory is hard to beat
