  3. Much closer view here but still the same
  4. Only 27 at the house with wind all night. Almost guarantee tonight will be colder
  5. Finally getting a decent snow shower in west AVL
  6. Wonder if any of those echo's in Rutherford are reaching the ground?
  7. Spruce Pine has a couple inches per family. Asheville has been sunny almost all day, I expected a bit more action here.
  8. Still sunny in Asheville with hardly a flurry, might be the wrong orientation here.
  9. Cleared off in Asheville and 35. Lets see if the next round can bring another dusting or more
  10. Lightest of dustings in west Asheville. Flurries and 30 currently
  11. Yep cold really had trouble getting east of the Blue Ridge. Snow has been unimpressive in the mountains so far too
  12. Slowly bleeding in over the mountains
  13. Models are shifting the vort north at the last minute (sound familar?) Not like we were going to get more than flurries anyways.
  14. Anyone see the winter storm watches on the TN side of the smokies?
  15. I think we will have some through Christmas
  16. I think we get flurries and maybe a snow shower Monday evening with the vort moving over
  17. The negative PNA makes it like winning a 65 mustang but with an electric engine
  18. That much snow in south Texas would be historic, but we saw what happened last winter..
  19. If it doesnt hit next week it really might be the end of the month
  20. Its definitely going to warm up after next week's cold shot. The question is what pattern comes next and how long does it take to establish itself.
  21. Asheville recorded a freeze November 1 but Charlotte and Raliegh hasn't. Next week looks promising for them
  22. New England looks like a fun spot to be in December if that's correct. Storm track could be an issue for us southern folks but it's a long ways out yet
  23. Well the best non traditional snow (non gulf low, Miller A/B or upper low) was the super clipper in Jan, 2003. There were also some rogue NW flow events that broke containment in the early 2000s if I remember correctly. I have never recorded more than .5 or a dusting from a true NWFS and even getting that is super rare
