Also the west to east movement of precipitation won't cut it here east of the Apps today. Downsloping and dry air will= virga until the flow changes more SWly tonight. I think we dont get much precip reaching the ground until closer to 8 pm.

I disagree, I think we underperform with precip. Upstream has mostly underperformed. Lower snow totals in Oklahoma. Lighter amounts. Dry air is very deep with this arctic high. I think its an impactful system especially for the foothills, but I dont see the 1.0-1.5 QPF verifying.

Not sure we get an inch of moisture maybe even .75. Lot of folks upstream have under performed. Oklahoma hasnt got half the snow predicted.

A lot of the models have backed off extreme totals of ZR. NWS blend is about .35

Short range all trending south with initial precip. Super close for north of 40 for snow for a few hours now

Models are shifting south, especially the short range high res. Let's see what the Euro says. Every little shift could mean the difference between 2 or 3 inches of sleet or .75 ZR

I am beginning to think we might escape the worst of it due to less moisture. Seems like almost every short range model has trended west with the precip and weaker overall.

Yeah and we stay below freezing for 95% of it. A quick burst of rain after the damage is done is not going to wash it away in an instant. Lots of wish casting going on tonight
