  1. I'm up to 8.5 inches for the month after 1.6 since midnight
  2. We have had 1.6 now since Wednesday and probably 2 to 3 more today.
  3. Wow 14 inches is amazing considering there hasn't been any tropical systems
  4. Had summer thunderstorm number 100 today with .72 in the gauge (6.8 for the month). Think we can get to 10 inches for the month, maybe a lot more with tropical trouble
  5. Starting to get a little concerned about flooding from tropical systems the next few weeks. Looks like a general 1 to 3 inches by the weekend from an upper low before any potential tropical trouble.
  6. That means a snowy winter for sure after his last few winter forecasts!
  7. We were lucky about 50 miles to your west. We have only had 2.75 total.
  8. I agree, definitely a big lull right now and many of the named storms we have had have been weak and way out to sea

  11. Nasty storm here with about an inch of rain in 30 minutes. Sun already back out
  12. Some parts of mcdowell had over 4 inches of rain yesterday evening. Just a harbinger of things to come I'm afraid
  13. Looks like flood threat picks up this weekend especially for escarpment areas with low level easterly flow
  14. Another day, Another heavy storm.. .5 on the day and 4.6 for the month.. its setting up to be bad if we have tropical systems in the next few months..
  15. Looks like the triad is getting absolutely hanmered and possible flash flooding
  16. Storms are almost stationary today. Had .7 earlier which gets me to 4 inches on the month already.
  17. Ended up with 2.8 inches, we may get a bit more later but could have been worse. Almost to my monthly August average.. already at 3.3 for the month and its the 3rd!
  18. It will be interesting to see what happens when the surge of tropical moisture in the Piedmont gets to the stalled front in the foothills.. We have over 2 inches of rain already and still pouring
  19. We have dodged the bullet so far with the heaviest rain but it stormed almost all night and we still picked up 1.3 already. Southern parts of the county have over 3 inches in places already..
  20. Water levels are looking good for kayaking, fishing, etc.
  21. Biggest storm of the year here. Severe with strong winds and small hail. Still rocking and rolling too. We have had over 2 inches the past 36 hours now.
