  1. Strange looking radar.... Cells moving North south east and west
  2. Well at least we didn't make it to 50F prior to the precip! Can't wait to get dynamically cooled to 36F in DC lol. I wasn't expecting anything so no biggy
  3. GFS is torching. Wonder if this is the type of system that would have been modeled as a big snowstorm in the cities 10-15 years ago and then busted hard... At least with the better models nowadays we have more realistic expectations
  4. I barely lose 850s on the 3K... Trending in the right direction finally
  5. I'm surprised I'm at 38/26 in DC up by Lincoln's Cottage. He liked this spot for the summer because it's a bit cooler than downtown.... Guess he was right!
  6. Two interesting trends... 1) temps have actually nudged up a bit in the past hour 2) precip looks like it'll start earlier
  7. I'd take that 2 inches and run! 41F currently in the uhi toaster
  8. Don't worry... It'll get here...... On Wednesday
  9. Looks like it shifted south 10 miles? I wouldn't care so much normally but being on the razor's edge makes micro-analyzing fun
  10. FV 3 Has DC walking the R/S line which may be where the heaviest precip sets up... just hoping.
  11. Nam coming in good and souther through 30
  12. Radar looks amazing for DC for next couple hours. We'll get to 5-6 inches if we stay snow through 3pm
  13. Meatballs falling from the sky as someone said last night
  14. Yeah it also had nothing falling in DC at 11am... Not gonna happen
  15. Hope we can stay snow long enough for the convective stuff lining up to our West! Heck even thunder sleet would be awesome
  16. Rooting for that low off the coast of Georgia/South Carolina to crank and give us a surprise....
  17. Everytime it looks like dry air is going to win out some light snow comes back into DC. Looks to stop in next 2 hours but wow what an amazing storm. Been a pleasure tracking and discussing with you all.
  18. The good thing is that the departing low has a more easterly trajectory instead of our usual nor'easters. That'll make this event last longer than we're used to.
  19. Pivoting death bands are awesome. Just missed it in Jan 2016 but radar looks fantastic right now!
