  1. 78.3 even at my elevation. Truly felt like a late summer day with a touch of humidity and the warm breeze.
  2. 26.1 coldest so far this young season. 1.37" of precip for October so far.
  3. I've averaged 48 degree swings before today. Car encased in ice then damn near 80 in the afternoon. Wild.
  4. 0.18” of upslope rain. Down to 39.8 after a midnight high of 59. Went flurry hunting at Spruce Knob earlier today. Didn’t pan out but still a beautiful half day trip.
  5. Decoupled nicely - 30.6 this frosty morning. Going up to Spruce Knob Monday morning (banking holiday) to see if I can catch a few flakes
  6. Foggy and 34.9. That weird hum? Yep, the furnace waking up.
  7. 1.29” since Sunday afternoon of needed rain. Looks like next week is crisp, bonafide fall. Me likey.
  8. Chipping away at the drought - 0.70" since yesterday afternoon and 2.25" for the month (most of it in last 8 days).
  9. 0.56" - first decent rain since Debby's remnants came through. My Mom died Saturday night and was an avid gardener and it felt like she sent the rain. I'd like to think so at least.
  10. Glad the radar was colorful but once again not in MLP. 0.02” for the day and 0.19” for the month. About 5” since the beginning of June. Should be around 25.
  11. I got up to 74.8 today...most of the past 10 days I've seen basically Ely, NV weather...the diurnal spread has been between 35 and 40 degrees. I'll wait until we are due to get some rain to patch up the yard after I singed the F out of about 20% of the grass w/too heavy fertilizer spread in the spring
  12. This morning was the first in over a week where I didn't end up in the 40s (or 30s earlier in the week) at 52.5. Colors are starting to pop beyond the (beautiful) sugar maples although I think drought stress is contributing more to that than just the warm days/cool nights. Sure as hell be nice to get some rain. I'm sitting at 0.12" for the month so far.
  13. I was curious how you did last night. Fairly decent amount of frost here as the low was 35.6. The NWR always amazes me.
  14. 46.8 w/a DP of 37.5. On cool calm nights the DP lowers thru the night. Will likely be a frosty morning.
  15. Missed the rain last week (0.11” IMBY) and with the next few weeks looking bone dry, wonder if there is a fire “season” out here once the leaves begin to drop? A few of the sugar maples are already spectacular in town.
  16. 68.5/41.4 for the hi/lo today with cobalt blue skies. Me likely.
  17. Took me over 2 hours to get 0.34” and my empty paper cup didn’t budge off my unscreened front porch lol
  18. 39.7 this morning. A month before summer is over is pretty cool (heh, ahem). Hopefully winter's omen.
  19. 48.3 for a low this morning. Hint of fall in the air. Didn't get too much from Debby so hoping we get some beneficial rain this weekend.
  20. 1.28”. Best we’ve had in a very long time.
  21. A paltry 2.16" since the first of June and equally pitiful 0.16" in the last 24 hours so I'm hoping the good vibes and radar trends equal a hearty dousing out this way.
  22. Amen. Hit 90.9 today which is the highest so far this year. With less than 2 inches of rain since early June, a 2 day soaker would be ideal.
  23. 0.87” today and 1.34” for the month. I’ll take more where that came from.
