  1. BWI: 4.3 DCA: 0.6 IAD: 3.9 RIC: 0.9 tiebreaker LYH: 2.3
  2. About an inch. 23.2 degrees. Hopefully a few more flakes to come
  3. Annnnnd we’re on the board for ‘23-‘24. Currently 27.5 and SN. Measured (albeit poorly) about 0.8” so far. Let’s see what sunrise brings.
  4. Hopefully you brought good mojo! 35.8/26.6 IMBY now. Was disappointed to see LWX drop their forecast from almost 3 inches in Oakland to under 2 tho. Satellite presentation on the vort looks good at least.
  5. NWS upped their snowfall forecast for those of us in the Boonies. Got down to 27.9 here. Let's see if this even comes close to verifying.
  6. The front has definitely moved through. Went from 62.2 early this morning to 50 on the nose right now. Lwx/winter snow potential map has me at 1.1 inches by tomorrow morning. Ways to go before that happens, but perhaps this is the beginning of the need to dust off our winter gear.
  7. Looking at the forecast for next week, looks like a good chance to see the first flakes out here in the Boonies. But until then, everyone enjoy this stretch of warm and beautiful weather.
  8. ^^One of the larger diurnal swings I have seen here as well (30.2/74.1). Dry, wall to wall sunshine and the bugs disappeared. If I could put this soundtrack on repeat, I would. Beautiful day.
  9. I experience this quite a bit - my low was 30.2 this morning. The GC airport is ~12 miles north of me and about 500 feet higher in elevation. The temperature inversion when I don't get the S/SE/SW winds is stark. My spouse works at Wisp and the golf course at the bottom of the mountain this morning was covered in frost. The top course was not only frost free, but dew free as well.
  10. 27.3 with an absolutely beautiful sunrise and the heavy frost just lent an additional touch to a perfect late fall setting.
  11. 0.52" from upslope showers. Windy with temps in the low 40s until about an hour ago when the - gasp - sun made an appearance and temps quickly shot up to near 50. Pretty raw morning with the wind stripping most of the leaves.
  12. As soon as the clouds cleared yesterday evening, temps tanked - bottomed out at 30.7. Previous low this fall was 34.3.
  13. I hear ya. I moved to f'ing Oakland and best I could do was 3" in a single 'storm' last year.
  14. Eeeked in a 39.9 overnight with another 0.15" in the bucket. Gunmetal gray skies thru tomorrow looks like...
  15. 1.47" total with some light upslope showers continuing. Currently 45.9 with a stiff NW breeze. Another month or so and this would be flakes,
  16. 1.23" on the day so far. Pretty good soaking with temps oscillating in the mid 50s. Fortunately the heaviest rain paused during the Autumn Glory parade in Oakland. My first time there - a nice communal event.
  17. 34.3 this morning with a thick coat of frost on the cars and roofs. Spectacular day today - wish this would stick around for the Autumn Glory festival this weekend but looks like umbrellas will be as ubiquitous as the pumpkins.
  18. It's a pinch-me-its-so-beautiful-out kinda day. Looking ahead to the weekend, post fropa, will be interesting to see if we get a few wet snowflakes mixed in with the upslope component. At the very least, it'll get the leaves into peak season in short order (they are already looking awesome but I'd say only about 10-20% there in town).
  19. DCA: 11/22 IAD: 10/26 BWI: 10/26 RIC: 11/11 BWI Oct +1.8
  20. 1.21" which was about double what was forecast - and like most everyone else, wanted and needed.
  21. 56.7 for a high and 0.54" so far. Gentle, light, but soaking rain. Wind was actually "stronger" yesterday. A dreary weather day but what a great day to watch football, make some homemade soup and sloppy joe's (not that disgusting pile of pebbles on week old bread we all got in elementary school) with a few friends. Win.
  22. .40" today and like @Wxtrix temps in the 50s with a lingering thick overcast. Sweatshirt and football weather FTW this afternoon! Came back from Richmond earlier today and the leaves in WV heading into Garrett County were just spectacular.
  23. Temp dropped to 49.9 right at 10 PM...by far the coolest night so far this early fall. Was 69.1 for a high. No doubt that the measly 0.06" of rain IMBY this month is contributing to the quick diurnal swings.
