  1. About 4" here so far. Getting closer to blizzard conditions as winds are now sustained at 28 mph. I think a blizzard should be verified in the 02z to 09z or so window.
  2. SNE has gotten smoked for like 15 years in the snow department though.
  3. There's a 960mb low over Nova Scotia. Fast flow isn't preventing amplification, it's just not amplifying where you want it to.
  4. It's progressive, but such a large and juicy storm, lasts for 21 hours or so.
  5. Yeah it just started in the past 30 minutes, 1 to 2 ft just to be safe?
  6. Hazey could still get it decently in Halifax. Still a bit more uncertainty over there.
  7. Progressive pattern can help a bit sometimes. Another low that looked like a cutter a day or two back.
  8. Isn't that real due to PAC jet extension? lol
  9. Should serve as an example that phasing is still really tricky for any of the models to handle.
  10. Looks like 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 850, 925 and sfc from what I can see.
  11. They're great, but only really useful if they have those sneaky non-manditory layers between 850 and 700mb that often have the warm nose. Also, seems like they might be moving towards paid subscription at some point given all the fancy stuff they've added recently.
  12. Yeah, we'll probably be okay. Ensembles ftw.
  13. Get off the board and give someone a traffic ticket.
  14. I think it screwed up the southern stream at 06z and 00z. Looks like the northern stream digs more but the southern stream has been left positively tilted and strung out at 500mb on the 12z, like some of the other guidance.
  15. Ahh thanks, I'm still downloading the grids over here.
  16. Yeah. I live in Canada but I work for a private company not ECCC, so I don't have any special data access.
