  1. Smoked. Too much uncertainty I think at this point to be too excited.
  2. Day trading isn't all that different than gambling. Just be careful and don't put in more than you can afford to lose.
  3. We don't have a robust screening/testing program...talk to some health care professionals. That's not to say Europe is much better. States and companies are ignoring CDC recommendations. See South Korea for a country who has seemed to excel in this situation. I'm not including China in that since it's a bit easier to lock things down when you're a police state.
  4. The testing in the US so far has been a total cluster****.
  5. Yeah i can't seem to find the article I was reading. I'm pretty sure it was legit, like from the WHO or the CDC about it seemingly spreading slower than the flu even though the Ro is higher than that of the seasonal flu.
  6. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)30462-1/fulltext This is kind of interesting.
  7. Yeah the Ro is higher but I believe there's more factors than that control the disease spread. I read a WHO statement recently. Let me see if I can find it.
  8. I mean hopefully Paul was joking but it's more important for those around to wash your hands after you use the bathroom...
  9. I think the major concern is the elderly and the general systemic shock of it all from a health care, economic, and trade standpoint. It does not spread as fast as the flu and preventative measures have worked to slow the spread of the virus. Not sure everyone has the stomach for what it might take to stop the spread though. It's a bit easier for China to use draconian measures on its citizens than in more free and democratic countries.
  10. I was talking to my coworker last night at a team dinner about permanent dst. I dont think I could deal with the 00z models being so late from a forecast production standpoint.
  11. Cool. I actually didn't realize yhz had done that well. I know warmer temps and a lack of snow cover have mitigated the winter feel for much of the Maritimes.
  12. I'm pretty sure models handle fast flow regimes considerably worse than slower, blocking regimes. The 2009-2010 winter was a benchmark for great medium range modeling. When everything is low amplitude and super fast, things can either appear or disappear pretty quickly.
  13. Yeah that's decent, I guess there's really nothing published though?
  14. Random question. Are there any papers addressing NORLUN? It seems like it was just an operational discovery more than anything.
  15. Right. I know most of the stuff at lower elevations and near the coast is probably wet not white.
  16. Occluded lol. I'm tired of shoveling...
  17. Isn't the inverted trough more over the ny? It looks like its sw of new england to me.
  18. Ice cream is delicious any time of year.
  19. I think the GEFS (depending on verification of course) would have been the thing to be most annoyed with. It's been stubbornly robust and nw.
  20. Sorry are you not in New Jersey? That's why your profile says.
  21. Not cooked but pretty close, especially for nj.
