  1. Yeah I definitely would living on the coast too. Especially on a Cape vacation. It definitely feels like fall up here. About to hit the 50s by 8pm at the nearest station to me a half mile away. Radiators mounting up here as the sun goes down. All this does is make the next humid stretch feel even worse, because it’s obviously coming back.
  2. If you are at the beach absolutely. You’ll enjoy turning the AC off and opening the windows in due time.
  3. A couple hours old but yeah, that’s a decent difference in sensible “feel”... like autumn air north and summer south.
  4. At 5:10pm LEB showing 81/39 for 23% RH. Thats really dry. 1V4 and MPV down to 43F. Been a while since we’ve seen air this dry.
  5. It’s definitely a September type feel. Some folks in hoodies around the ski area as it’s upper 60s here at 1,500ft.
  6. Dew at SLK down to 41F... they should hit upper 30s tonight.
  7. Wow even upper 30s for dews in those Maine sites. Radiators mount up. And yeah agree, this is a good delivery as you can see the front on satellite going due south.
  8. It’s a good joke, plenty of fluffy snow but man the volume of precipitation up here at the mountain is pretty nuts.
  9. KCDA Lyndonville 68/49 Even with full sun it’s struggling to get higher than low 70s most spots. Upper 60s invading northern tier under full sun in early August... Amazing.
  10. 71/50 right now in the valley, almost cool up here at the mountain.
  11. It takes a lot of fake snow to get to those 4-5 foot snowpacks at 1500ft...like 5 days a week type snow. I stayed overnight at Lodge at Spruce Peak during an April upslope event where it was just ripping 7:1 ratio needles (ended up with around 8” of dense stuff)....but being up at 1500ft in an upslope event is on another level from down in the valley. At my house it falls straight down but up there it comes in sideways, and with a purpose. Jebwalk through the base area at 1am. I’d love to live all the time up here at the base area. Just another world in most events.
  12. That seems to explain the different humidity levels quite well, ha.
  13. Some stoke... relaxed powder turns on a storm day through the Mansfield hardwoods.
  14. Ski The East had a similar post, used a photo of mine from a past October I think. I love this time of year through November... the ski stoke slowly builds until mountains open.
  15. Yeah definitely. Temps up here are still into the 80s and upper 80s valley torch spots, but the dews are 15 degrees lower. I’d guess it’s the boundary this morning that had some storms in CNE like CON latitude?
  16. 88/50 at BTV.... rare 27% humidity for early August.
  17. That’s pretty impressive for that period of record. It came up in the BDL discussion, but I think a lot of folks think SNE climo is higher than it actually is in the summer. Some folks were surprised the highest average max temp at BDL is 85F and that a normal July is like 84F-something for an average max.
  18. Yup I use YouTube for everything, even car maintenance. If you need to do something, someone else has as well and they’ve filmed it.
  19. BTV has spent the last 3 hours with RH in red flag territory <30%. 86/49 currently at the airport in Burlington. What a dry air mass this is today.
  20. 81/54 at 2pm We Business Suits. What a day. 40s in morning, 80s by afternoon, low dews and sunshine.
  21. Temperatures should never be referred to as “vicious” ha.
  22. Jeez. Another world down there. We got back into the upper 40s early this morning.
  23. Congrats dude! The owners of Tres Amigo have done a great job in the past couple years. The remodeled and modern interior, to go along with good food and drink is pretty sweet. It's a good Mexican option in town. Add in the Creeme stand along the Rec Path and the business has a good opportunity. Also, Rec Path etiquette drives me insane on those bridges...First come first serve. The group already on the bridge has right of way, whether walking, running, biking, rollerblading, whatever. Yield and let them come all the way over before starting.
  24. Beautiful evening in town as temps quickly drop into the 60s. lol at the difference from BTV to east of the Spine at MVL/MPV.
  25. Off-topic but were you and the family biking the Stowe Rec Path last night? I was walking my black lab and waited at the end of one of the bridges for a family of bikers to pass and it looked like it might have been you and the wife. Only reason I wasn’t sure is your boys looked so old! If it was you, wow they grow up fast, ha. It was the bridge just downhill of Sushi Yoshi... I’m back there on the river towards the end of that dirt road you cross at Tres Amigos.
