  1. Wisp, Canaan, and Snowshoe will be able to make snow with multiple chances of upslope/events in that pattern to kick off their season.
  2. When it likely doesn’t snow later this month in most places here (except the mountains + favored far NW places), get ready for the complaints that “the pattern didn’t deliver and get ready for a winter of disappointment” posts. The reality is this is way too early in the season for the majority of us. I am just really happy to see that it’s not wall to wall pac puke right now.
  3. I'm good with Saturday turning into a sunny/pleasant day. Putting up the Christmas decorations (outside and inside) so would like nicer weather selfishly
  4. While the Caps started the season slow, they’ve really turned it on as the season settles in. A great win last night vs Vegas.
  5. Thank goodness! I was so worried
  6. I’ll take that look on repeat all winter, please.
  7. I think we’ll have our share of coastals this winter. Tuck that LP off ORF, bomb it out, as it crawls ENE and occludes in mid January.
  8. I’m good with a mild Thanksgiving, don’t want to freeze my butt off in the 5 mile turkey trot.
  9. Beautiful day for a hike at Blackwater Falls State Park.
  10. Parachute snow flakes. Got a coating on the deck. Nice to see my first flakes of the season.
  11. Had a brief downpour and now a rainbow here in Alexandria.
  12. Allan Huffman going for AN snowfall for the region. AN temps for December but transitions after and February is much below normal temps. https://x.com/RaleighWx/status/1721953621439381790?s=20
  13. We have a similar thought on this winter. Best chances we’ve had for an AN snowfall in years, and I think we have a real shot at a KU - best in 7 years.
  14. Apparently its more fun to post 384H OP temp anomaly maps.
  15. My FF team thanks the Ravens defense.
  16. BWI: 36.9” DCA: 23.8” IAD: 41.9” RIC: 12.4” Tiebreaker SBY: 7.5”
  17. 36 in North Ridge Alexandria, about two miles from DCA as the birds fly. Such a joke of a weather station for DC.
  18. Living vicariously through your obs. Nothing like first flakes of the season.
  19. In addition to the US 219 S cam of the bridge over the lake, this is one of my favorites too: https://www.railey.com/deep-creek-lake-webcams/ Great view of the lake as snow falls.
